    I got the lifetime warranty with my Ram. They check my registration when I bring it in for warranty work. Wheel speed sensor went out. It would accelerate and activate the trailer brakes because it didn't know how fast that wheel was going. Crazy! Replaced that and a worn wheel bearing under the warranty with 156K miles on it.

    I sold some really elaborate duck blind/pits made of steel plate to a private club in St charles. The tops popped open with a spring mechanism. I got to hunt there for free for a season. We had a blast. Decoys put out for us, food, drinks and ladies to clean the birds. The clubhouse had a huge bar and grill with pool tables, darts and shuffleboard. It also had 12 rooms each with private baths. Word from the workers was that a lot of "girlfriends" must really like to hunt ducks because they were there all the time.😁

    I’m with @fishinwrenchin that I wish they made option free versions of trucks. All the options are great until they don’t work. Even a door lock actuator can make an older vehicle too expensive to fix.

    I had 99 Yukon the old model. 230k miles. Engine and transmission fine. Knickknack electronic stuff started wearing out. Got rid of it when the rear doors wouldn’t lock. Slept in it many nights while fishing. Air mattress and space heater in the winter.

    Since I worked at GM for 15 years and still have a lot friends there, and most of friends and family drive GM trucks I’ve never heard of any big issues with any of them over the years. There’s more GM trucks at my current work too.

    I can't argue with you that's why I posted my experience so as to be fair. And of course maybe the few problems get all the attention. A bunch on youtube complain about it. But if there's 20-30 on youtube that's certainly not very many relative to the number of engines out there with it. But it sure got my attention but that was after I owned the truck. Good topic though don't you think?

    Active Fuel Management. Shuts down 4 cylinders to conserve fuel when the power is not needed.

    For fair disclosure I have a Ram AFM and have 158K miles with no issues. Knock on wood. On the Ram tow/haul mode disables it.

    WIDESPREAD LIFTER FAILURE!! MANUFACTURING DEFECTS AND DENIAL! You should google Active Fuel Management before you buy one. Ram has it too. And don't AFM delete or you lose the warranty. Ford does not use that in the coyote.

    I quit a little over 5 years ago. Right after boom boxes showed up on the course. Slow play, drunks, 5 hour rounds and the skyrocketing prices. I miss the old days of 3.5 hour rounds and the overall better experience on the course. Not what it was like when I quit.

    This is definitely the information age and yes it's awesome. Social media seems to be another income source for them that's for sure. Otherwise they wouldn't do it. I thought those guys were like the Wednesday night guys. Full time job and fish as a hobby and tell people they are "professional". If you are paying the bills and making a profit from fishing then you are a pro.
