  1. I saw the title of the thread and thought it would be "about" Vern.
  2. I don't think so. Didn't they bust that dude at Taney with like 500 fillets a few years ago?
  3. I've held off saying this for years. A lot of locals I meet in the Taney area all brag that they have so many trout in the freezer they could eat trout everyday for 2 months or some other similar comment. The last time was at my time share office in July where the guy working there made that exact comment when he found out I like to trout fish. Even my wife raised her eye brow at the comment. There is procession limit right? If this guy is selling how many does he have?
  4. Too numerous and in some cases not for public consumption.
  5. Speaking from experience I assume Explains some of your issues but definitely not all.
  6. Dude had the munchies.
  7. Got up at 4:30. Caught a dozen, trophy was a 14” brown fish.
  8. Grilled? Smoked? Finished pics would be great. We have a local connection right here on OA!
  9. Whatever, cupcake. Tell my ex wife and daughter in law I said hello while you trade ideas from Pinterest
  10. I don't have FB. Never will either.
  11. Who cares? Comes to my mind
  12. Not very informative. If someone can show me how to catch carp in muddy silty sloughs I’d be fascinated to see that I have plenty of places around me like that but I’ve never hooked one in many trips.
  13. Most University’s start the next two weeks.
  14. Just got to outlet 2 during the spawn and you can see all the poor fish handling you can stomach. They don't need to be shot with a bow to go belly up.
  15. Code for it's not good.
  16. We got on em at a lake up north in Illinois a couple weeks ago right outside the marina. They were ripping it up for about 20 minutes first thing in the morning and then......silence. We boated a couple.
  17. I feel for Sugar Britches.
  18. Amen there, brother.
  19. I have a pair of 20 year old glass Maui Jim's along with a new pair about two years old. They've been everywhere with no trouble and they are prescription. The price will freak you out though. Wasn't there a member on here that is an eye doc? I think I remember I different thread where he chimed in.
  20. Been that way for the 50 years I've been fishing there.
  21. Had several neighbors that kept them for years in their basements.
  22. People in the suburbs would keep them in the basement to eat the bugs.
  23. Living in St Charles County we went flood watching all the time. Seemed like it lasted forever.
