I started fishing a 1/8 ounce on a 7’ ML spinner with 10 pound suffix and 6 pound red label fluoro. Really fun way to catch em. 3.4 pounder is the biggest on it.
The first fish of the day spit up that dad and it was on after that. I should thank you guys for all of the info you put out because it really works on this lake too. THANKS!
We fish a lake up north similar to TR. in fact I’ve used a bunch of info from the TR forum with great success up there. We noticed a few years ago bass spitting up small craws and we went right to the ned that matched the color. 70% of the time it never made it to the bottom.
This is why my wife wanted me to get rid of my last 3 wheeler. She would say; "Why can't you just ride it like a normal person?" I laughed while she swabbed the road rash on my back with ointment. I just couldn't help myself.
Soft plastic not allowed in the Trophy area.
Well except this past weekend when I was there. And nearly every time I go there. Saw two different groups using soft plastic trout worms. They clearly didn't know the regs because they sure weren't hiding it. They weren't catching anything so I just let it go.
I caught a bat on a pop r at scout camp. Goose, gator, some saltwater bird turtles snakes and my nephew caught a muskrat in Colorado on a fly rod. That got ugly.
They were busting shad this morning on the long runout point just past long creek marina heading towards AR. They were around the shallow water bouy and kept it up for over an hour.
Mine runs 31 mph if that helps.
