  1. You got that right Dano. I prefer the wind blowing downstream. SIO3
  2. Thanks Gmuddy. I hope we don't lose power either. I just knocked out another round. It only took a half hour this time. Neighbors snow blower threw a belt. Where is Leonard anyway? If he doesn't get here soon I'll be 3 sheets if you know what I mean. Most people went to the grocery, I went to the packy!!! Pete
  3. Took me an hour and a half to shovel (scrape) ~4-5 inches of ice pellets of my driveway. Under that is a solid 1/4 inch layer of ice layed down last night. It's coming down over an inch an hour. I hope we don't get 10 - 15 inches of this stuff. I'm not panicking, I just have cabin fever. Fly boxes are filling up nicely though. I'll head out in an hour or so and stay on top of it. FYI, 3 car garage and driveway is cool in the summer. Not so much with 10 to 15 inches on the way. I had around 10 inches the last go round. Helps an old man stay in shape. High temp the next 10 only 38 for two days. I still had it piled up 3 feet deep around my driveway from the last blast. From deep inside the bunker, SIO3
  4. Drill a hole in it and pour in some high yeild stump killer. Fill hole with elmers and saw dust.
  5. If your going through Camdenton to get Laker67 swing by St Louis and get me too.
  6. I hear ya Eric. Yikes is right. It's TV show. I believe it's on today. I don't remember the name off hand. Flyfish TV or something. Probably google Kelly gallup and it will come up. When I check my DVR I'll confirm the name for you. SIO3
  7. I live just north of there a few miles and everything around here frozen. Gotta be the same at Busch. SIO3
  8. Pretty low tech, but I guess it would work. Lucky it's not imbedded in his head. SIO3
  9. I just saw that show Eric. I record it every week. Did you see tha previous show on dubbing? He had a cool trick of spinning the dubbing after running it up to the hook and it tightened it up nicely. SIO3
  10. Elaborate please. SIO3
  11. When I read that original article I knew it would be good for 5-6 pages easy. It even drew Eric back in after he said he entered the cone of silence. Priceless!!! SIO3
  12. I saw this guy on Nova right after the Hockey Stick Graph was put out there by Gore, and he said they were interpreting the graph backwards. That heat in the atmosphere was driving the rise in CO2. If you look closely at that graph it does look like that might be the case. SIO3
  13. I'm headed down tomorrow morning to check things out. I'll camp at Norfork Dam and fish both rivers if generation cooperates. That flood was epic in proportions Al. I don't believe the Buff and CC were blown out at the time. That water came out of the lakes, OVER the dams. SIO3
  14. Aw come on Eric. I figured you be good for at least 15 reply's. SIO3
  15. Good luck Cory. I'm hoping I'll be here. http://www.norfork.com/genes/cam.htm SIO3
  16. I think it's a power plant lake in AR. Snagged
  17. I don't know about anyone else, but I crack up every time I see the title of this post. I could go on and on but this forum is G rated. SIO3
  18. Thanks for the pics Gmuddy. Yeah Al, the flood waters went all the way into the campground on the Norfork which has to be a good 25 feet high up that bank. At Taney the pavillion was under water. The flood waters were in the golf course at The White. I see what you mean though. In a specific area below Norfork there used to be a narrow chute that drooped into a good pool. Not the chute is wider and shallower and you can walk right across what was the pool. I better get down there and do some research. Maybe this weekend. SIO3
  19. Went and checked, "Bellweather month of Sept". Wonder what that means?
  20. I smell what your steppin in Pdiddy. Without going back to the article, didn't it say "the all important month of Sept"? I would like to see all that data also. SIO3
  21. Testically you are correct Cricket. Sorry.
  22. A 30% reduction in Artic sea ice seems pretty substantial to me. Here is the link http://www.stltoday.com/news/national/article_1b2c0501-8f68-5568-9e5a-f2a8074c3d3f.html
  23. You better call the company and get on their commercials. Those women can't damage them even by stuffing it in the garbage disposal or running it over with a truck. SIO3
  24. On The Norfork it filled in a bunch of holes and made the river more shallow overall. This might have happened due to the development up the hill from the dam area though. They had been fined and warned several times about runoff and when the area was blown out I'm sure a bunch of gravel was deposited from there. One of my favorite holes down near the confluence with the White is completely filled in. The White changed a little up near the dam with a lot gravel deposited below the first shoal. Really it was the opposite of what you would expect. SIO3
