  1. Size 2/0 fits perfectly ๐Ÿ‘. Thx
  2. Well? Whatโ€™s the most offensive? Inquiring minds want to know ๐Ÿ˜†
  3. Sorry, no. Tightrope firework.
  4. Launched at 5:30 and went down a couple coves and went as far back as I could again. Had a huge blow up on the buzzer but never caught one on it. Probably spent too much time throwing it. Saw some sticks and branches sticking out of the water and pitched a PJB Texas rigged big TRD in it bam, it was on. I just motored around looking for wood and caught on nearly every one I pitched to. In between I threw a PBJ finesse jig and caught several on that too. I finished at 10 and boy it was hot! Easily caught over 20 but not one was 15โ€. Still a lot of fun.
  5. @Dutchi was just joking around. Hereโ€™s a picture of a โ€œhalf ounce triple blade next to the 1/4. With a twin tail trailer it definitely has enough weight for a bait caster. My BassX is a 7โ€™2โ€ med heavy.
  6. It probably weighs 3/8โ€™s to a half. I think they just โ€œcallโ€ it a quarter. I throw it a mile on a med st croix BassX bait caster.
  7. Is your โ€œbigโ€ buzz bait compensating for something else in your life?๐Ÿ˜‚
  8. Most of my tackle is geared towards river smallies and that 1/4 ounce works! https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/booyah-buzz-blade-buzzbaits?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=BPS|Shopping|PMax|Fishing|General|NAud|NVol|NMT&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD1Tgtc8qJ9pRTpx5u4H0E2DQ6FGu&gclid=CjwKCAjw7s20BhBFEiwABVIMrdc93zyQzDpbvXO2gvobphZa9QiD46LxpmLQUjZBGWOiTNBdv5FpQRoCzkMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  9. I keep telling myself Iโ€™m gonna target them with crickets but I havenโ€™t yet.
  10. I never have but Iโ€™m gonna. What size do you buy for 1/4 oz buzzers?
  11. Some of them just suck it under and others whack it. I put the troller on 30% and just kept throwing.
  12. On the water at 5:30 and went straight to the back of the cove where the water was a little dirty. Threw the buzzer from the start. I looked at Google maps and picked coves that would be shady when the sun popped up. I paralleled the bank and caught them really well after an hour of nothing. 20 plus fish in 2.5 hours and missed at least 10 more. Never caught one on a follow up bait. And I tried a whacky rig, Ned, Texas rigged worm and a square bill. Only caught one that barely touched 15โ€. All the rest just under. Like they had been culled. Left em bitin since momma wanted to go to the farmers market. Iโ€™m hoping I paid it forward for tomorrow.
  13. Absolutely not! This is a fishing site.
  14. Thx for the report. Sounds pretty good for July. Any size to the bluegill?
  15. If you see an idiot in a Jon boat among the wake boats stop by and say hi. ๐Ÿ˜†
  16. I'm going to try something I've thought about for a while now. I was looking at the topo map of T Rock and my thought is to fish the lake like I do rivers. When they turn on the generators today I'm going to fish in what would be an eddy behind a point if it were a river. Does that make sense? I'm going to concentrate on the downstream side of some points. I watched a small branch a few ago just keep circling in a wide pattern on the back side of a point we had anchored the boat on so the kids could swim. It would drift out to the far edge of the point and then circle back in front and along the shore. Clearly it was stuck in eddy. It wasn't rapidly circling, probably took 45 minutes or so but it did it several times that afternoon.
  17. Went out early this morning before daylight. Since Iโ€™m in a jon boat I head straight to the back of the cove and threw a buzz bait. Caught one like this right off the bat then 4 small smallies and this one to finish the morning early before going back to work. Heโ€™s just short of 14โ€. Off the water by 7:45. A few boats were out in the deep water using ffs I assume. Iโ€™ll try the next cove down early Saturday I think.
  18. Nice ones!!๐Ÿ‘
  19. I only get moles in spring and fall. Even using grub control. They come out of the wood lot. I use Tomcat and itโ€™s works well. Thx.
  20. Flounder eat the fugitive!
  21. I've heard that before. Have you used it with success?
