The only thing I don’t like about this house is you can’t hear it rain unless it’s pelting the window. I open the window when it rains just so I can hear it.

If you only tried a few flies I wouldn’t call that picky fish. Especially if they are clearly taking dries. Sounds like a midge hatch except the on you caught. It’s not unusual for me to rotate through a dozen or more different flies if I think I’m around fish and not getting bit.

With bull and beaver still high that’s a lot of forecasted rain.

@Bill Babler do you know of any aftermarket assist shocks for them? I’ve see them for truck tailgates. Or maybe your shock is bad?

I’ve missed it hundreds of times. Sometimes while putting on my waders in the parking lot all giddy with excitement. Horn blows. Party over.

I think they're best on those cold windy overcast days.

Got to the ramp this morning and it said 39 on the truck. Cold run of around 3 miles. Had numerous bites but I just couldn't hook them. Real timid. Several times they were just there. Caught 4 all under 14 inches. Was real nice by noon. I left when I had a guy come down river, kill the motor and pull right across where I'm fishing a run out point. My rod is pointed there, the boat is pointed is there. How can he not see that? I put my hands up like WTH??!!! His partner waved and I did not. They motored back into the back water looking for spawners. They stayed around 3 minutes then blew out the hole again when they left. Still didn't ruin my day...😁

Yes. Except fishing 2-3 times a week it’s a line from Top Gun.

Technically you could probably buy the pellets cheaper and they taste the same😁. I’m going by smell on the pellets. Never tasted one. Unless you count the trout😂
