    Saw a guide weighing a real nice one across from the dam around 9:30 this morning. I was a ways off from him but it was big. Saw the guide drop his guys at the Chataeu later around 11. Hope he got a good tip. Seemed every point had a boat on it early this morning.

    The problem at Taney or any other tail water is generation. Today, wind blowing upstream and no generation. Very benign Conditions. Monday around 2 pm generating water and if you are not a seasoned paddler you could be in trouble QUICKLY! Not only being seasoned but understanding the current generation conditions is probably more important.

    I have a 1752 Blazer SS 60/40 jet. I had a 20ā€™ fiberglass river jon years ago. Iā€™ll take an aluminum jet over the fiberglass boats. White, norfork James long creek meramec Big gasconade Missouri table Rock and Taney all in mine over the past year. 24 volt 80 pound ultrex.

    Got a break in the weather and got my boat in a slip and plugged in. Two days on a charge is the longest Iā€™ve gone so I didnā€™t know what to expect if I didnā€™t get the trolling motor batteries charged. I was ready for boat action tomorrow because I like to fish running water. Waders and a fly rod coming out since they predict no generation.

    Caught plenty in the Mississippi while catfishing. Right by the Golden Eagle Ferry.
