  1. Operator error, my friend.....
  2. I knew when I put that out there that it would ruffle some feathers. I also stated I care for my equipment in relation to diddy. We did those trips, those are the facts. Here is link to this disscussion from 2005 long before it made mainstream news. And long before Outside bend knew what was up. To ban felt at this point is, well, pointless. http://flyfishingarkansasandmissouri.yuku.com/topic/1140/Didymo Pete
  3. I figured I was right. Just sayin.
  4. How long will the line be to clean your boots on opening day? I just don't think banning felt is doing anything. Education is probably a better option. Pete
  5. Operator error is my guess
  6. I looked through the environmental posts and John said he remembers it back in the 1980's I still think someone said it was around in the '70's.
  7. Just some facts here so we are all on the same page. Diddy had been in The White for years, 15 years or more. I seem to remember John Wilsonm saying a biologist in AR said it was documented in 1976. Before anyone knew what was happening with the stuff it was being transferred by fisherman everywhere. How do I know?? Because myself and my buddies were fishing in the White and then going to other places during the same trip. We would make round trips fishing the White, Norfork, Taney and then a trout park on the way home. Trust me all the waters in MO have been exposed to diddy for years now. Don't forget Crane and Roaring River, we hit those too. We.ve fished em all. We've been doing the whirlwind tours for 25 years easily. We've hashed this out here before. We've discussed on AR forums going back to 2005 easily. Banning felt is joke. Having said all this, it doesn't mean that the right conditions could cause a bloom at any time. Therefore I care for my equipment. I use a pair of pattaguchi wading boots in MO and Simms in AR. My equipment is dried after each trip, mainly because it's good for the equipment, but also for diddy. SIO3
  8. If they go up for sale, give us first crack at em would you Redbud? Pete
  9. Man FT, you live right there. I wish I was that close. Pete
  10. Shuffling is illegal in Arkansas by the way. I wish it was in MO. I believe this topic has led to the red X. SIO3
  11. Yeah that is some freaky looking fish. I'd go $15, after all it is Craigslist. SIO3
  12. Those will be mighty tasty after washin em in fish juice and freezin em.
  13. Yes. But how well do mushrooms do in a livewell? SIO3
  14. You had to bring up keeping fish didn't you Bent... Here we go. SIO3
  15. This post will shut em down for sure. Now what am I gonna do for entertainment? I guess I'll invite the inlaws over for dinner and tell em I let fish go after I catch em. Pete
  16. I used to trout fish there years ago. Usually a good school of em upstream of the bridge. I've had good days stripping buggers down there. SIO2
  17. It's the best entertainment I have all winter. It's even better than having my inlaws over for the weekend. Pete
  18. I really enjoy reading those threads, although I've never been involved in one. I think they are hillarious. I play golf with a couple guys like that and they argue all day and even argue driving to the golf course. One of them has been to anger management counceling TWICE!! Pete
  19. Those vids are wild Phil. I came up with a great way to catch cats on Tablerock. The kids were feeding the bluegill Tostidos one day when we were beached near Indian Point swimming. There were hundreds of them around and under the boat. All of the sudden they went nuts and you could see dozens of big cats circling in to eat the bluegill. I mean nice ones. I dropped a white fluke in the middle of the frenzy and those cats would pound it. We had a blast for a couple hours catching nice cats on ten pound line and spinning rod. I bet in that clear water they would be good eatin. SIO3
  20. Religion, politics, global warming and now maybe mountain lions. Looks like the mountain lion "issue" might get whacked. Did you notice that a topic is okay but when it becomes an "issue" it might get shut down. These are things an idle mind does when not fishing . Carry on. And I mean carry on. Pete
  21. I went and looked and the DO is gone from the graph. I would think this late in the year the lake has turned, like Tablerock and the DO would be fine. I have been wrong before though.. Once I think... SIO3
  22. Not many people know but HoHum allows fishing for $3 "parking" fee if your not camping. Don't bother to go there after Memorial Weekend unless you like to PARTY!!!! Snagged
  23. No shad kill this year G. Taney had one going for while. BTW, I think they generate to make money off the electricity. Minimum flow hasn't been instituted yet. It's been approved though. SIO3
  24. "And notice the way I'm holding it? I ain't gonna lip one of these guys" Chicken!!!
