  1. I don't let my daughter work at all. We have a deal. She takes care of business and I give her whatever she wants. Honor student in all advance placement classes and plays on the high school soccer team and swim team. She is in the 4.0 GPA Athletes club and does her chores around the house. Her business is to finish college and probably grad school. After that she can get a job that pays her well enough to do buy anything she wants. FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE. When I grew up we all worked as soon as we could get paid to do something. Then we got out of high school and went to work instead of going to college. We went to work so we could gst that paycheck that seemed large at the time. BIG mistake. I worked at GM for 15 years and got my degree so I could get out of there. It was a nice living but it is limited as far as income. Nothing worse than giving away your future for a little money now. Fire away. Pete

  16. That's no dink!!! That fish is huge in her memory and yours. Nice!! Pete
  17. Thanks for the report Phil, I appreciate the time we fished together and I had a great time. I got back in town Sunday evening and I haven't had time to type a report so thanks for doing that. I was very happy when Phil invited me to go out with him to fly fish Saturday! Phil really knows that water and our fishing styles complimented each other. That first picture says it all. Midge in one and the scud in the other. I just love midge fishing to really shallow fish and we whacked em. At times there would be 4-5 fish following in the fish we had hooked. It was really cool watching that. I quit counting double hookups at 5 and I know we had more than that. I fished the dam area Friday all day and the water fluctuated up and down all the time and the fish were very finicky. You know it's tough when the fish just move to get out of the way of your fly. Saturday more than made up for that though. I can't wait to get back there soon. BTW, I love that Tracker Grizzly we were in. Plenty of room and that thing is wide and stable. Fast too!!! Pete

  21. We made it up to Lebanon and the truck was acting funny so we pulled off to check it out. The wheel wells had totally filled with ice and the tires were hitting up against it. Nothing to do but keep driving. That reminds of when my dad was driving back from Montana. I feel asleep only to wake up and see my dad sleeping behind the wheel and driving down the grass median. He was out like a light and he looked so peaceful. Then I woke him up and he jerked back up on the pavement. I couldn't stop laughing at him.
  22. Congrats on the new house. I'll be Thursday night to Sunday if you can make it. They are calling for snow here Sunday so I may leave Saturday to beat it. I got caught in an ice storm coming back from Taney a bunch of years ago and I don't want to do that again. Took me 11 hours to get home. Pete
  23. Thanks Cody. I should have jumped on this back when you guys started talking about it. I love red fishing! Are you going to Taney this weekend? Pete
