  1. Was just S!!it you, no offences intended.
  2. What kind of a guy post a picture of just a couple fish and will not tell how many fish you caught? Or what color bait they were biting on? You are kind of sneaky, aren't you?
  3. We always put in at Shawnee Bend Park. And let everyone stay where they want. It is getting harder and harder to have a tournament out of a resort there.
  4. How does the world's first vaccine for honeybees work? "It's like magic" (msn.com) Thought you may be interested in this article
  5. Mostly Jigs in 15 to 20 ft of water. 1 on square bill and maybe 2 on a jerk. Due to shoulder those were both very hard for me to work with. Partner fished them more than me. Got the shot yesterday in the shoulder and the full scoop on the shoulder, MRI, Not so good. Surgery needed. Just trying to put it off. Cannot hurt it more than it is now under normal use. If shot does not last will be getting surgery this spring rather than in end of Oct. If the shot does not last like the last one did, my plan is to have surgery on the 23rd of May, which should put me back on the lakes by the middle of September. Dr said 3 1/2 to 4 months, before I can get back to regular duty.
  6. That sounds pretty good to me. I can kind a picture it in my mind. But a picture would have been nicer.
  7. Was over last week, Wednesday March 1st. Fished a lake we had not fished before for 3 hours, probably will improve as it had a lot of laydowns on it. We caught 2 slot fish there. Then we moved to Super Lake, Was a good move as we boated 2 overs, 4 slots and 5 under. Missed several others. Water temp was 48 to 50*. The Jig proved to be the bait of the day. Crankbait slow rolled only produced 2, and jerkbait produced 00. Was nice to be out.
  8. Nice work guys. The Jig is one heck of a bait. And has won me a lot of tournaments.
  9. I am looking for Gamblers - Flappy Daddy's in the Alabama Craw or Hurricane Craw color, that they no longer make, in that color. So folks look thru your stuff you do not use and see if you have some to sell me as I am looking to buy any you may have. Gambler will do a special run of 3,000 but I do not want to spend over 2,000 dollars. Thanks

  11. Honey Can Fight the Flu and COVID-19 Honey is made up of about 82 percent carbohydrates and 17 percent water—of the carbohydrates, fructose accounts for about 40 percent, and glucose accounts for 30 percent. It also contains 4 to 5 percent fructooligosaccharides, which are probiotic agents. The physicochemical properties of honey can vary depending on the botanical sources, so its glycemic index (GI) varies between 32 and 85. Honey contains about 180 different substances, including organic acids, enzymes, proteins, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, etc. Compared with processed honey that has been sterilized at high temperatures, raw honey retains more nutrients. In particular, probiotics such as Lactobacillus and amylase are retained. Raw honey is also generally considered more nutritious and provides more health benefits. Raw honey is more nutritious. (nata-lunata/Shutterstock) A systematic review and meta-analysis study published in the journal Nutrition Reviews in 2022 showed that within a healthy dietary pattern, eating unprocessed raw honey provided better blood glucose and lipid control compared with eating processed honey. The subjects’ fasting glucose decreased by 1.05 mmol/L, total cholesterol decreased by 0.61 mmol/L, fasting triglycerides decreased by 0.27 mmol/L, and HDL cholesterol increased by 0.11 mmol/L. These benefits were not seen in people who consumed processed honey. Because of its broad spectrum activity against pathogenic bacteria, honey has been used for wound healing since ancient times. An in vitro experiment found that honey can kill the influenza virus. The study tested five common kinds of honey, including manuka honey, buckwheat honey, honeydew honey, etc., and found that they all demonstrated strong inhibitory activity against influenza. In particular, manuka honey is the most effective type in killing the influenza virus. In addition, a review study published in 2021 suggested that honey and its main components could combat COVID-19, and may also be effective against infection-induced pulmonary edema and fibrosis. Moreover, honey and its main components can suppress systemic inflammation in patients with COVID-19. Glucose and fructose in honey can be directly absorbed by cells, and acetylcholine in honey has an anti-fatigue effect, so it can quickly restore physical strength and energy. The organic acids in honey can induce the secretion of digestive juices and promote digestion. Honey is also believed to promote bowel movements, relieve hangovers and protect the liver, moisten the lungs and relieve coughs, and boost immunity.
  12. Do you think since we had such a mild winter up here this winter that the Morels may be early this year. What are your thoughts?
  13. I would post pictures of my special build jigs, but due to major competition out there, I am forbidden to do so. The company that use to build my personal jigs for like 15 years closed their doors before the first of the year.
  14. Just do not go around and tell everyone about these
  15. Still paying for the use of the shoulder. But getting a little less painful. Lots of Ice. Lots of things going on according to the MRI report. 2 spurs, arthritis, several tears and a couple ruptures. See the Dr on the 6th, Will get the whole outline then. But I know, I will be getting an injection then for sure as it was discussed on the last visit, as was no surgery until October. Last Injection helps alot, for 3 to 3 1/2 months. I will be going fishing next week again, on Wednesday. Boy is the wifey PO'ed. But thanks to IBProfen and a pain pill here and there, I will get through the fishing and some teeth grinding pain.
  16. I just used this super nice guy. For some special makes. Took about 2 weeks to get the order, but they are exactly what I wanted. Made in Kentucky. I called him and talked to him personally, then sent him my order. I am going to take some pictures of 2 other jigs I want built, so he can build those also. Will, be ordering a bunch so I will have a lifetime supply. Puffy Jigs | Puffball Jigs | Lions Collar Jigs | Smallmouth Jigs | Frugal Lures (fishingfrugallures.com)
  17. Friday was on the lake at noon. We caught several small fish (Bass) and 3 keepers in about 4 hours. Saturday was a good day, had 7 good keepers and about the same in shorts. Best 5 would have gone 14 or 15 lbs. Sunday fished 5 hours in the morning, pulled out at 1 and headed home. Sunday we boated 6 keepers, 5 might have gone 12lbs. Have not been able to type some, until today. Shoulder issue. Had MRI last Thursday, before I left for LOZ.. Report not so good. But Dr. is willing to work with me with injections until October. Then surgery for sure.
  18. We went to Egypt yesterday, as it was such a pretty day. Had some pretty good success, with a Jig and a Rogue. Boated 8 good one and 3 shorts, Had 3 overs and 5 in the slot. 8am to 2 pm. Was kind of windy and then the gusting, But it was nice to be out in February, fishing. Lot of boats on the water yesterday with the same idea as we had. Go fishing. Talked to several guys and they were not doing well at all, though. Heading for the Ozarks tomorrow for the weekend of more fishing.
  19. Is the resort at Big Creek fairly nice to stay at?
  20. Fayette County Lake in Texas, has a terrible problem with the vultures eating everything on trucks at the launches and parking lots. It is mostly due to the Mexi's and their cast nets and then cleaning all their Tilapia at the launches.
  21. Well I too was looking for someone as, I still have a dumb phone and the computer is sometimes smarter than me, Big Time. The folk at Tri State in Ofallon, MO, did the updates for me a couple weeks ago. I will be trying them out tomorrow, either at Ballwin Lake or Lake Egypt over in Illinois.
  22. Looking at staying down near the 8 mile marker/ Gravois arm next week end. Just need to get out of here for a couple days. What have the bass been biting on lately? Or what would you be throwing for them? Thanks
  23. Could be used as a fishing pole also.
  24. I will have to take pictures of our new installation and post them, of the new dual mount and the new livescope pole by All Aboard. I think I am really gonna like it. Oh ya yours looks good also and the pinch cable if a big corky No No.
