  1. My first thought on this picture was, your skinning a goat. I started to salivate and could taste it. Then you ruined it by saying it is a PIG. I use to raise Boer Goats for FAA and 4-H kids in Texas, Show Goats Had some of the top stock around. I butchered quite a few, sold some skinned out and I really like Boer goat meat, Boer goats are a Meat Goat. Had a old Hispanic Man give me all the tips to cooking them, what spices to use and also how to smoke them.
  2. We got it 7 miles North of Hillsboro. We had those straight-line winds here or tornado winds I guess. F2 Hit down the hill from us in the valley off Ems Road lots of damage down there. Trees and electric poles down on the road and 1/2 from us tornado hit on Tower Road, lots of damage, 1 house leveled. Quite of few houses damaged, trees down everywhere. Powerlines down. Electric went out around 9pm Friday, Came back on right at 8pm last night Sunday. I have several big trees down/uprooted in my woods and several snapped about half way up. My boy brought us over a generator. Lots of limbs and sticks in my yard to pick up. Firewood to cut up. All I can say is God had it in his heart to spare us the blunt of the damage. House has Hardi-Board siding, it is all good. Have to get up on the roof to look at the back part of the roof.
  3. Yes it has. Started the rotor-tiller up yesterday, in preparation to till garden up in the next couple weeks. Drained and replaced oil in Tiller and fired up. Then changed oil in both mowers and drain oil in snow blower and put a little bit of that special gas in it. Blew the leaves off the strawberry row. Dug up some kind of winter weeds out of the garden and 2 raised beds. Was not to bad. Today if the wind stays down I plan on burning my ditch out front at the road. Fluffed the leaves all up yesterday, with the leaf blower, so the would dry out for the burning today.
  4. I drill a hole in the handle and attach a rope/string to it when on a dock and tie it to something or make a loop and put around the wrist. Problem solved. Back in the day I lost 2 very good knifes, 1 was a really old old one, Opa gave it to me. it was a very special German Steel Filet Knife. That one broke my heart, fell into 25ft of water. i was diving for it for 2 days and never found it. Even used a strong magnet and still did not find it.
  5. Have the crappie started biting good yet.
  6. Way to many BONES and LITTLE BONES it them for me. I did have some fresh caught Cutthroats, that I caught up in one of Colorados Lakes a few years back. They turned out perfect on the grill. They were stockers but had been in there for several years and were not pellet fed.

  13. Opa use to call those Suckers, Hog Molly's we would camp on the Current River for 10 days, those were dinner all most every night. When we went to some of private lakes he knew about. We would Buffalo fish he made a good wheatie's dough bait, And he would grind them up and fry in like salmon patty's or make fish stick out of them; and bass fishing I swear some of the Bass he caught would have been state records. He would mount the heads on a piece of wood, let it dry, then shellac them.

  16. I use the Ketchup Mustard Glaze some times. Sometimes Mayo, Sometimes BBQ sauce and sometimes Ketchup. I like it cold or just barely warmed. Just bread is fine, Toast is fine, sometimes a tortilla wrap with salsa.
  17. I made big pots of Chili, then big pot of Ham Shanks and Beans and then 2 - 2 1/2lbs of meat loafs, this week. Meat loafs consist of 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck, 1/2lb ground deer, 1/2 lb Sweet Italian sausage, 2 tbs Worcestershire, 1 TBS minced Garlic, 2 eggs, 20 Hi Ho crackers crushed. 1/2 onion diced, 1 bell pepper diced, 1 Jalapeno diced, 1/2 cup of milk. black pepper and a little red pepper to taste. Baked till 170* Turns out great. We have it all for dinner, the day we make it, then freeze in 2 people servings for future meals. Meat loaf goes in the refrigerator till the next day then sliced up and put in foodsaver bags. Besides the meatloaf sandwiches.
  18. I thought you were going to say because you suck at catching. You should probably go to church also.
  19. Billethead and fishinwrench, do not worry I will not judge you or waste a shell on you. Never shoot the messenger because the next time he may have something you should know. Wrench sometimes people just do not understand that not all people think like them. I hate to say this, But sometimes and I mean sometimes, I do agree with you. You can work on my boat anytime I am in your area and need help for sure. I hold nothing against anyone's views. Even If You Were Wrong. 🤣🤪🤪🤩
  20. I used to go to Fayette County Lake on the first of January every year in Texas, No matter what the weather was. I vertical spooned by the dam, in 40 to 45 ft of water. 2 to 4 ft off the bottom and caught the heck out of some really nice bass. Best was one over 9lbs. 4's 5's and 6's were the normal for me then. It was always my way to bring in the New Year.
  21. Isn't the chimps, the one that ate the face off the owner a few years ago. They are strong and unpredictable. And you are in Festus area everything is weird in your area.
