Sunday I will be making 2 large pots of Chicken and Dumplins. The stiff rolled out ones. Oma's recipe. Son, DIL and adult grand kids coming. They always want to take some home with them. I also have to have a couple of meals for my fishing, USMC buddy. Sure am looking forward to this. What is your favorite dumplin recipe.

This can be really BAD MOJO right here. Shooting a cougar for the sport. Those kind folks in Iron County are some of the worst also. Never had any use for that county. They are for most part a different breed or bred differently than other folks. -

I agree with the last 2 sentences -
Was Plastics, ned rig with beavers and jigs mostly, topwater was here and there. Thru cranks for quite a while with 2 small bass on it in 3 days of fishing. Most fish were between docks, not in front, not on the side and not behind them.

We just got back from there last week. Stayed at Sportsman lodge and cabin. Put in at Coffman Ramp. Just a mile and a half away. We ate at a Mexi Restaurant one night that was recommended by the owner. Was good and reasonable. Also ate a a bar and grill with good food while we were there. Owner of the cabins is a nice person also. Fishing was good one day not so good the next. It was on and off for us.

Rib Eye Roast aka Prime rib 7.99 a lb. Whole Beef Tenderloins 10.99 a lb. Picked up 3 prime ribs yesterday. Cut the 9 1/2 lber into Steaks. Other 2 were right at 6 lbs and will be done in the smoke for my family. 2 Whole beef tenderloins, made 2 good size roast and cut some into steaks and the the scrap into stew meat but may use it for burnt ends.

32 hours, I have had 8 1/2'' and it is still raining here at 0640 11/5/2024 Get out and vote if you have not already. Heading to Texas for a 3 day trip to take care of some business

I emptied the rain gauge at 1700 yesterday, with 3'' in it. Got up this morning 0500 went out and looked at the rain gauge again, had another 5 1/2'' in it and it is still coming down strong. Headed to Texas for a couple of days to take care of some business with my rental down there and will report what I will have in the gauge when I get back Thursday. Going 55hwy due to 44 flooded. See you later.

We actually do pretty well on this lake. When you find them you can load up. Water was not as clear as I thought it would be in the river arms, maybe 2 1/2 ft but it worked well for us.

Fished Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and half Thursday. Mon. fishing was tough, only 2 keepers-2 to 3 lb range. Tuesday we found a area that was loaded up with bass. Caught 20 fish in less than 2 hours and 8 were keepers, 2 over 4 lbs and a lot of 2 to 3 lbers. Really windy on Tuesday, which caused us to miss several other bites. Wednesday never boated a keeper. Thursday half day, 2 keepers both over 4 lbs. 1 just shy of 5lbs. Maybe 6 shorts. Then came home.

Seem to boat some bass, Lots of shorts and it is a 13'' lake. Did have 1 or 2 each day that were 2 to 3 lbs. Fish were scattered, really not on the shad chasing thing yet. Nothing in the mid to backs of coves. Jig worked best for me, my partner not so much. He is suffering from CCC disease, Can't Catch Crap.

Is that a electronic jig you are using? I read somewhere they were testing them.😁
