  1. Yes sir, Pm sent
  2. I have a Garmin 126sv on the console and bow and have livescope.
  3. Matt Rogers took me out today to help tune in my electronics. Turns out I was further ahead than I thought, just needed confirmation in what I was doing and seeing. We caught fish in 30 fow and targeted individual fish in much shallower water on timber. If you need help learning or understanding your electronics, I highly recommend Matt. Not only does he know his stuff, he’s just a laid back guy that’s easy to have a conversation with.
  4. I am a fairly new boat owner and still trying to learn my electronics. I’m hoping to find a guide that can go with me in my boat and help to accelerate the learning curve. I have a nitro z18 with a Garmin 126sv UHD at the console and one at the bow and have livescope and a force trolling motor. I’m mostly interested in locating crappie and walleye but catching fish is secondary to learning to interrupt by electronics. I’m not a complete beginners as I’ve had the boat out several times but looking to learn from someone that’s an expert. I live in Webb City and can get away about any day with enough notice. Any recommendations on who would be good to get ahold of for this? Thanks in advance for your help. Dustin
  5. Thank you sir
  6. Took my daughter and dad out Sunday and tried bottom bouncing for Walleye for the first time. I clearly need more guidance because that didn’t work out so well but we did catch a few nice crappie doing that which was unexpected. Switched over to trolling cranks and scratched out a few more crappie before hooking into this slob. Is this a buffalo?
  7. Same area and same technique as last week but only managed 7 keeper crappie today and 2 keeper walleye. Threw back several short fish of both species. It was still a great day as my dad got to go again and my nephew as well. Plus that’s my first two walleye out of Stockton.
  8. Happy Saturday LDT, 1.5 mph was about the best. Still caught them well when I would go a little faster but didn’t catch many when I was slower.
  9. Hey Straw hat, I would say this was more lucky than good. Trolling cranks in the summer is the only technique I consistently have success with. As I mentioned above, I’m very new to this and have only owned a boat for a couple of years. Reading and understandably sonar, side scan, down scan is still a struggle but there appeared to be lots of bait stacking up on this particular bank. I’m assuming balls of Shad. Most of these fish were caught over the top of brush piles that were in about 30 fow but the fish were suspended in about 10-15 fow. Not pictured were the numerous white bass and drum we also caught in the same area.
  10. I’ve been following this forum for a couple years and decided to quit creeping and contribute. I read a lot on here about how to troll crankbaits for crappie and started trying it last year with good success. Yesterday I got my dad out for the first time in years and we had a great day. We ended up 1 shy of our limit due to a miscount in just under 3 hours. We put in at Greenfield boat ramp and caught all of our fish on the second bank we trolled. Most for around 12” with a few 13” fish mixed in. We started with Bandit 300’s and 200’s but nearly every fish came on the 200’s so we switched all 4 rods to 200’s. Multiple times we had 3 fish on at once. Chrome and blue was the best color with the runner up being a green flicker Shad. Anyway, thanks for all the help. I am a beginner at this but hope I can help someone like your post helped me.
