Hey Straw hat, I would say this was more lucky than good.
Trolling cranks in the summer is the only technique I consistently have success with. As I mentioned above, I’m very new to this and have only owned a boat for a couple of years.
Reading and understandably sonar, side scan, down scan is still a struggle but there appeared to be lots of bait stacking up on this particular bank. I’m assuming balls of Shad.
Most of these fish were caught over the top of brush piles that were in about 30 fow but the fish were suspended in about 10-15 fow.
Not pictured were the numerous white bass and drum we also caught in the same area.
