Lilley's Lake Taneycomo fishing report, August 1

Thanks. Kind of what I figured, but it never hurts to ask. I re-watched your video from the Narrows last summer. It was helpful. -
Lilley's Lake Taneycomo fishing report, August 1

What have you heard about the upper, wadable section? -
Good points. Thanks

I think I'm headed down Wednesday morning. Should I bring the waders or will I be ok wet wading? I went wet at RR last week, but I never got past knee-deep. It was mostly ankle deep the water was so low.
-
Wet-waded at RR on Thursday. The water was low. Tim's latest post said 22 CFS. It wasn't too hot, though still hot, and overcast until about 11. I was hoping to run into some hatches, but nothing really happened. The action was slow but steady. I tried just about everything at some point. No takers or even a sniffer on dries. Had some swipes at hoppers in tan, green, and black, but no hookups. I caught one on a copper john and the rest on a red San Juan worm. I fished mostly in the riffles as the weird fish in the slow water don't seem to do anything. If fished it unweighted under an indicator 1-2" deep.

Where do you put in and take out for that float? Doesn't seem like a lot of access through there the times I've scouted.
-
God you are a prick. I thought you took you toys and went home?

I don't know much about thread. I use UTC Ultra Thread 140 for just about everything. You can cut through the foam though. That's just craft foam from Walmart.
-
Here's one I tied. It worked well at RR this summer. Hopefully I'll get down to Taney this week and try it there.
-
I tie the Charlie Boy Hopper in tan, yellow, green and black (as a cricket). It's easy and effective, I think. Video below.

Is this your last question to me? All the animals I can think of in N America are covered in fur, don't recreate in the sun, and this don't typically need sunscreen. The animals without fur that I can think of, like elephants and rhinos, evolved a thick hide that helps prevent sun damage. Your posts make it sound like cancer isn't real and if you rub some dirt on it, it will go away. In the past you've equated the treatment for your father's pneumonia then the suspect mass they spot as his real cause of death, but the reality is that correlation doesn't equal causation. It's a logical fallacy you use over and over again when science doesn't fit your world view. I get tired of you doling out quackish medical advice that might keep someone from getting help. If someone has cancer, ignoring it and hoping it goes away is the worst thing someone can do.
-
Luckily for you, the tinfoil blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Would you advocate these gentlemen not have cancerous tumors removed and just tough it out?
-
Yes, good luck with your recovery and thanks for the reminder. I think about my face and ears, but never about my arms.
-
Good God, man. Have some couth. Cancer is hard and it can be beaten with medical intervention whether you think so or not. Put the tinfoil away and catch a bastardized wiper.

What's the difference between a One Knocker and a Spook? Google also pulled up some lipless crankbaits when I searched.

Is that Maryland or from your Missouri days?

I hit my neighborhood creek early this morning. Fished a PB&J Ned then a PB&J Z-Man Finesse worm. It was a good day--a mixed bag of Goggle Eye and largemouth with a small smallmouth at the end.

I'm dizzy from the pictures. Shouldn't people know how to post a right-side up picture by 2022?
-
Start a new thread. I'm done with this one.

I think "dogs" is a metaphor in that passage. We are the dogs and Jesus/God is the master. But there is another book that says all dogs go to heave. I think it's called All Dogs Go to Heaven. So there's that

It's working for me. Takes about 30 seconds to load. Maybe delete and reinstall it?
-
Is it wadable right now? Forecast shows 35mw for tomorrow and 35-65 this morning.

TV news only cover hot topics. Jan 6 hearing, Roe overturned, gas/inflation, Ukraine have all put it back-burner on Local/National/Cable TV. I see it print frequently, but I read the news. It helps that each new variant seems less deadly than the last (luckily), and that a lot of people have had, are vaxxed and boosted, or both. It was a court than ended the mask mandate on public transit, not public health professionals. Regardless, I wouldn't go on a cruise to save my life. But you're right. You have to look for it.
-
Not exactly. I had different friends that just came back from a cruise in Alaska (a cruise!!!!) with 4/6 in her group positive and a different friend from Orange Beach, Ala. with everyone in her care positive. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://www.cnbc.com/2022/07/02/omicrons-bapoint5-variant-might-threaten-your-july-4-how-to-stay-safe.html
