  1. From someone who lives in a State without a "closed Season" for gigging? At least we do have seasons......Have been checked more times gigging than ANY other fishing, one time I did receive a warning ticket.... my license was in the truck, had to go back and produce it...... We do it right, teach it right. Guess next we get rid of handicapped parking because some abuse it, then ..... β€œIn the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we have been taught.” ― Baba Dioum
  2. Have the Terrova on my lake boat, it would be swell on my trout boat when time to replace that is what I will do. g
  3. For a guy who does not drink you are a knowledgeable DD, and Darn good fisherman and river man and friend.
  4. Been looking at this, the pole would need to be sturdy so when I step on it does not break. It would need to float so when Got Muddy kicks it overboard you can find it.... would need a soft enough bottom to stick it in, either gravel or mud. Think the mud is where it would shine. But never used one so just guessing and thinking out loud...think you should go for so I can see how well it works.... g
  5. Si on console, both my units are si but rarely use the si up front, use the console lots. Hear the Garmins are great..... g
  6. The more expensive the crank bait the more muskey they really like to mare up a custom paint job. Have caught the most on a little crappie crankbait. Cloudy days do seem best.
  7. Get that knee patched up my friend the days are getting longer. Praying for a swift recovery g

  13. Hey Man Did not mean to be critical. To qualify, yes this is the best movie I have seen in years! As stated I am not a movie person, but try to take the wife at least once per year, so everyone knows why. Maybe if my Son's career continues I can be a critical adviser... likely not... Agree best movie I have seen in a spell. g
  14. And pray for not much more moisture...... figure boat on 4th of July.....

  17. Little Red Fisherman is my jerkbait hero....
  18. Well, to qualify, although my son is an actor, I go to a movie about once per year. It is a lot like going to McDonalds, each time I go it reminds me why i do not go(it makes the experience for others better that I am not there). I own 3 movies, Jeremiah Johnson, Tarpon and A River Runs Through It. While the BC scenery was excellent, the film work, stunts and acting excellent for me the movie dragged. I would prefer to watch Man in the Wilderness, yes I know the rabbit he caught in the snare looked like something I gave the kids on Easter, .... Have read each book also, think the books are better. Should have stayed home and tied flies, but Wife is Happy i took her out...so all good... g
  19. 6 # Nano .005 but I have had some very trying experiences with it....
  20. Will challenge you on #5 if we are in a trout boat dragging a chain drifting back?lol
  21. Pete Think this is what he is referring to ... guy I used to know might fish 30-40 days straight had to wear these and a wrap below each elbow, had to sleep with the wrist/hand braces at night account his hands would cramp up in a ball and pain if he did not. The price we pay....
  22. Best price I am aware of on a new one: http://www.budsmotorsports.com/boat-trailers---single
  23. Hello Folks, A number of AGFC access areas on the White and North Fork of the White (Norfork) Rivers were impacted by the Buffalo River and Crooked Creek flooding that occurred last Monday and Tuesday in Baxter and Izard Counties. I would advise anyone putting in or taking out at access areas between Rim Shoals Access and Calico Rock Access on the White River, or at the Bill Ackerman Access on Norfork to use caution. Debris from the flood can be found all around the access areas and flood waters have damaged some facilities, including the handicap boater transport lift at the Norfork Access. Several portable restrooms are also out of commission at this time. Mud, silt, and gravel covered many of the parking lots, though some have already been cleared. While the AGFC works to assess damages and arrange repairs and clean-ups, anglers should use caution while fishing at these accesses and especially while boating. Large debris, including logs, rootwads, and boulders have been displaced by the flood waters and your ability to see them in the water may still be limited at this time. Thanks for your patience as we work to get the accesses back to normal. Hope you all had a nice holiday season.
