  1. Mine had one or both circuit boards replaced. I do not know, nor do I care. It works and the boat is on the market. It was entertaining though. 1249325541_trollmotor.mp4.d1f5d91a7630b7f2aa1f2e1b50bfe4ae.mp4
  2. The circuit board in the tm has been replaced. It no longer behaves as if possessed. The boat comes out of the water Monday for a complete detailing, including the lake scum. Pics after that, and I will post on Walleye Central. If you are interested, now is the time to act.
  3. If I remember correctly they were 18.5, 21.5, 24, and 26. Somewhere around 14 pounds total. The irony is that until the week before that day, I had one fish a day maybe for at least a month. Then, in week, I had a 3 good fish, 3 good fish, and a 4 good fish trip. I hope @Tim M and @Liprippa702 continue to explore Big M to Beaver.
  4. From what Bill has written in the past, Beck is looking down and laughing at the hook sets.
  5. Champ has it down. Only can add tips. Put the thread spool in a coffee cup and run the thread through a book to provide the correct tension. Watch the video for "how to" start and end the wrap. Two light coats of epoxy, let the first one dry before you do the second. Have fun. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=how+to+wrap+fishing+guide+thread#kpvalbx=_ArkjYaOyItuFtQb-4Y_oDA28
  6. August 2018 at that sweet spot. The one on the far left is over 18 inches.
  7. @techo will get you for that
  8. From the view, they are almost, but not quite, at the sweet spot. Fish cruise the channel edge for hundreds of yards, but one 30 yard stretch gives up the large ones. I miss fishing it.

    What's Cooking?

Anniversary time. Nancy made the bread. Per her request I made the interesting salad (fresh corn, artichoke and ripe tomato), and the tomato garlic broth mussels.
  10. Mine was on warranty from Garmin and the approved marina doing the work. Went kaput less than a year after sale. No money cost anticipated. If one materializes I will report.
  11. Quill, that sounds like me.
  12. @Bobby B recently posted about repairs/replacing his trolling motor. Mine is in the same process. As soon as it works, I will become aggressive about selling my rig. When sold, I will begin fishing with guides. If you have read my posts, you know I am fussy and judgmental. I do not like 40# braid on Ugly Stick rods. I do not enjoy fishing corn for trout. On Tablerock and Bull I feel confident the members here can and will be or suggest what I would enjoy. (Even if Babler retires.) The question becomes, how do you find the better guides on Grand, Broken Bow, or Toledo Bend? I have not hired a guide since I hired Eldon on the White River in 199?. Suggest how you would go about this in modern times.
  13. My circuit board is fried and on order. Selling my rig waits on the fix and a full detailing. Then I start hiring guides.
  14. Amazon has these at 17 to 22 dollars, depending on color. For that price, you would think Daiwa would use quality components. Were you walking it or fishing it like a chug bug?

    What's Cooking?

    Stir fry lo mein.
  16. Yes. We had to order parts for the on warranty tm. When that is done, I will test it to be sure it meets my standards. If you want to talk price now, send me a PM.

A variation on Caprese salad and baked corned beef with a Brussels sprouts/carrot hash.
  18. I am so envious. And proud of you.

    What's Cooking?

I haven't made this in a while. Dump and stir salad.
  20. Ad Block Plus helps. As does fixing your cookie settings.

    What's Cooking?

Aaron Franklin brisket. The master. I have followed his advice for years. When I tell my wife I am going to smoke a brisket she purrs. https://www.foodfirefriends.com/aaron-franklin-brisket-recipe/
  23. Sculpin, crawdads, and crickets have all caught browns for me, although in the last ten years I have only fished artificial baits.

    What's Cooking?

A good stroganoff is hard to beat.
  25. Stuff like that happens.
