Woke up to 35 degrees up here

Yeah - it was odd having almost 30 days to figure out the who....purtty much a thumb in the wind situation for me....But I am doing better this year than last for sure. C4F

Looked like some guys caught fish....all the guys here at the resort really struggled including myself....I threw a lot of stuff at them, heck I was so frustrated that I stopped for a bit and watched YouTube to get a few tips! I even taped a benjamin to the bow in hopes of drawing a large mouth, small mouth or even a crappie. There is talk that the bite will be better tomorrow....cant complain too much - it was a great day to be on the water...now I just need to get over and get my free rod! I was hoping to multi task..you know weigh a fish, collect a check, pick up a rod. One out of three aint bad C4F

8 lbs....wow....I guess I can always fish for second place! 😳 I always lookforwardingg to donating my entry fee! C4F

Mike / Jeff I was looking at the same thing....going to be a bit chilly. I can make the 19th work if the decision is made to move it.

21 hours left....I made my picks. Struggled with some of them based on history.

I am surprised that I landed in 6th place! Only one of my picks made it all the way to Sunday! I am reading and watching the vids of all of the picks to see if anything makes sense... Kinda funny I just watched the Palaniuk vid and he does not pick himself. C4F

Champ - what do you really feel about Marty, binoculars and Yeti? You need to learn to let those negative feelings out 😆

Good info here....DavidB I am in the same boat so to speak...I want to upgrade my TM to the Ghost and I think I have my banker convinced that it is more a need than a want 🙂 I also want to put a 12 on the bow....thinking carbon maybe? Much wisdom has been typed here...I can't tell you how much I have learned by reading these posts. There are times that I channel Champ when it comes to bank beating and Bill when it comes to "deep sea" fishing. Unfortunately my antenna must be at the wrong angle as I dont catch as many fish as they do. But I use many of these techniques here in the cornhusker state and they do work...as one said don't be afraid to move out to deeper water if they are not up close...of course our lakes are small so moving out may mean that you are on the other bank!! If I had all of the money that I would ever need.... 1. Create an endowment to help sick and dying children and their families. 2. Make sure that the homeless shelters would not have to worry about having enough supplies. 3. Figure out a way to create micro loans for small and emerging business's that can't find funding otherwise. 4. Help fund those organizations that work with under priveledged people that help them help themselves. 5. Spend as much time as my wife would allow spoiling her. I did not mention my kids, yes I would help to take care of them but as said ealrier I do not want to enable them to not work. If you don't work for something then you have no idea what anything is worth. C4F

Champ, your post got me thinkin.... I did not try the spinner bait!! Then that would be a complete fishing failure...that is OK when I got back to the cabin my wife said it wasn't me it was the fish... I think she gave me a participation compliment trophy 😒

Went out again this afternoon....I tried the Rock Crawler, Spoon, Jerk and Ned. No joy on anything....a couple of taps, I think, I hope anyway. I must have not been in the right places...plenty of bait balls but no fish near them. C4F

I saw any where from 55 to 57.5 C4F

Splashed the boat around 11 and hit a few coves in the KC area....what a beautiful day to be on the water. I was able to locate a few bait balls but I did not see any fish underneath them. Just in case I did throw a Dixie Jet at them.....no love. So I switched to a jerk bait...as the commercial would say - who is the cheesiest? I woke up the cheesiest coach....Yeah I figured if Cheese could do it so could I....NOPE!! Well, there is tomorrow!! C4F

A couple of nice ones there cheese...we are down for a few days and will be trying the jerk from time to time....maybe not today as the wind is getting after it already and I am looking forward to a nice dinner C4F

Thanks Mike - you are right..I think that we all have plenty to be thankful for. God has truly been merciful to me and mine that is for sure. Have a great Thanksgiving to all of my internet friends 🙂 C4F
