  5. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is conducting a survey to determine angler behavior and opinions regarding recreational fishing for common carp. The answers provided may be used to inform management decisions to help determine the feasibility and impacts of managing common carp for recreational fishing. Participation in this survey is voluntary, anonymous, and appreciated. It is important that we receive answers from a wide array of people regardless of whether you fish for carp or not. 12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelyabinsk_meteor The object exploded in a meteor air burst over Chelyabinsk Oblast, at a height of around 29.7 km (18.5 mi; 97,000 ft).[6][7] The explosion generated a bright flash, producing a hot cloud of dust and gas that penetrated to 26.2 km (16.3 mi), and many surviving small fragmentary meteorites. The bulk of the object's energy was absorbed by the atmosphere, creating a large shock wave with a total kinetic energy before atmospheric impact estimated from infrasound and seismic measurements to be equivalent to the blast yield of 400–500 kilotons of TNT (about 1.4–1.8 PJ) range – 26 to 33 times as much energy as that released from the atomic bomb detonated at Hiroshima,[8] and the rough equivalent in energy output to the former Soviet Union's own mid-August 1953 initial attempt at a thermonuclear device.

  16. In my younger years, I came across a fellow beat up, his tackle busted up and a big stick protruding from a hole in his glass canoe…I helped him get sorted, jammed a rag in the hole in his canoe..I waded him to the take out point as he was in no shape to do anything but ride to the ER…guy was real quiet, so I asked him did he get ran over by a jet boat?..I kid you not, he looked at me and spit out a mouth full of fish scales…the told me two big ol boys in a John boat asked him if he did any good..he said all he did was lift his stringer of brown bass 2-5# just one short of his limit….they paddled over grabbed him, snatched away that stringer and started releasing the bass, reading him the riot act about keeping smallmouths, the last fish on the stringer was already dead…so they proceeded to force feed him that fish while thumping the hell out of him, trashing his gear, tossing him on the bank…..told him they would be watching for him…he kept spitting scales out and said good thing they didn’t see him gigging…. those winter fish were lots bigger😳😳😳
