This was Lake Cuchillo. The town is China. Definitely the coolest place I’ve ever been and some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. One evening when we were going into town for dinner we were passed by two military trucks full of soldiers carrying weapons and all wearing masks. They looked like they were headed somewhere serious.

Nope. That is a good one though. But you gotta cross the river and drive a ways to get to the really good stuff. You know, past the machine guns setup in the median of the highway, through the town ran by a cartel, then out in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn’t take anything that I wasn’t willing to give up.

Early Spring fishing/camping possibilities

I had a GF in high school whose dad had a setup like that. He could back it up just fine. I could not. I tried and tried but my brain couldn’t make it work. -
Me too at times but that had nothing to do with my fall. I didn’t slip. I got one leg stuck and fell the ffff down.

No it wasn't that cool. It was totally stupid.

Whichever one doesn’t require that I wear a helmet should be unleaded. 😁 I think that would be great in the creeks that I will be fishing. My thought on a booby fly would be to fish it in the film. Again, much smaller water than what it was designed for.

I need to try something like that sometime. Maybe that will make the box too. I like Marty’s as is but it looks like he’s got a 1/2 oz of lead on there. LOL

I like this fly. Maybe a little too much weight for me but maybe not. On a little quest this year to do some nymphing for river bass and I think that one is going to make it into the box. Nice job Marty!

So your wife is a waste? When do they start cutting funds to SpaceX?

I knew you would recognize that spot.

Would someone please turn on the heat

Yes I am done with this cold. During these last couple of really cold spells I’ve spent a considerable amount of time outside on a forklift. I don’t normally use a forklift in my job but on two of the coldest days lately, it’s all I have done. I got up early this morning with intentions of going fishing. It didn’t happen. -
Decided to see if we could catch a trout before we froze to death this morning. Luckily some giggers from last night left a fire going.

Trout flies huh? Do they have to catch fish? Aren’t trout dumb? I’m in.

One of these days the timing is going to work out and I'm going to make one of these trips. Looks like you all had a great time.

They do. Ever since Mango Mussolini came along, everyone cries cheating anytime they don't win. It's stupid. And some cry because they don't understand the rules. Today i read an article from a "sports reporter" that claimed it was rigged because, on that crazy catch from Worthy, the ball touched the ground. Yes it did, but that doesn't mean it's not a catch. It's a complicated game. You have to be smarter than the people whining on TikTok.

The blitz package at the end that Spagnuolo dreamed up was crazy.

Might need to start taking the yak when I work in STL.

I Thought One Of The Problems With 2 Strokes Was Noise??

When I was in my early twenties my dad had a Champion that cruised really well between 77 and 82. He never drove it that fast and I never didn’t drive it that fast. I was never smart enough to be scared of speed on the water. He eventually traded it for a newer but much slower boat. I’m pretty sure he thought I was going to die in the other one. I think he died believing that was the reason I quit tournament fishing. It had nothing to do with it but I don’t think he ever truly believed me.
