  1. Still the best squirrel deterrent there has ever been. They don’t even try for the bird feeders anymore. The new group of young ones learned that across the top of the privacy fence is no safer than being on the ground. Stay in the trees at least 8 foot up. And don’t slip. It’s a game to her and she’s really good at it.
  2. Cool stories and pics Ness. Wish we had video of that swim! Glad you are okay.
  3. I just use a 6 to 7 foot straight piece of mono between the fly line and the fly. That’s all you need.
  4. Shorter tails and ditch the tapered leader. Since I’ve done that I have no issues. Those double barrel popper bodies are line twisting bastards though.
  5. I jacked around and didn’t get the yellow divers done but I’m still locked and loaded for some green fish in the morning.
  6. Gurgler. Deaddrift it around stuff and skate it across the current in likely spots.
  7. Whatever you think old timer.
  8. Were they expensive?
  9. Doesn’t high heat paint make them float more better?
  10. It was not. It was a turd move by a turd guide. Was no loss to me, I only protested because I had the same exact fish in mny boat a couple of hours before it was weighed in. It wouldn't bite anything. I chased it for awhile before figuring out there was something wrong with it. I pulled up to it with the trolling motor and scooped it up in a net. I don't think it could see out of either eye and looked like it was just a zombie fish roaming around. I released it and we watched it wander around for a long time that day. We left the area a couple of hours before weigh in to go find a better fish. Then this idiot comes walking up to the weigh-in with that fish saying he hooked it outside the mouth. And the guide, who was running the tournament, let that slide and even agreed that it was a legal catch but that's not what the MDC says. And there were no special rules. It was a corporate event and nobody wanted to cause any issues. Especially the guide who knew he was going to get some of that cash from his repeat customer. So everyone let it slide, except me.
  11. That's exactly what they said on the news last night.
  12. I saw a well respected Table Rock guide alllow a guy to weigh in a fish that had been snagged on the outside of the mouth. When I protested he told me it was a legal catch. And since the guy with the fish was a repeat client of his, he didn’t want to cause any problems. Let the guy take big bass and first place. That guide is a POS.
  13. At least if it was eaten it would serve a purpose other than stroking someone's ego.
  14. That's probably the truth.
  15. While I don't drink hardly anything anymore, I do have some alcholic buddies that have plenty on hand. You know the ones. I don't think you could design a better fly holder though.
  16. They also work great as a kayak drain hole plug.
  17. People that would clean a fish like that aren't the most intelligent.
  18. I'm sure we have but I haven't fished one in a long time. That tail is longer than I would usually tie and why aren't those googly eyes? Good looking fly.
  19. Yep. Pretty much anything electric stops working when the power goes out. Wait till you see what happens when your truck runs out of gas.
  20. I did get to see the Doobies! Sometime around 1990. That was a good show.
  21. I used to be sad that I never saw them live. But after watching tons of live performances I’m okay with it. I know I would have been disappointed. And pissed. LOL
  22. Candy-O was the first album I ever bought. My mom took me to the record store to get it. I was 10.
  23. One of my favorites as well.
  24. About 20 years ago me and some buddies were coming home from the Current River after 3 days. It was around 9:30 on a Sunday when we rolled out of Eminence. We blasted the two disc greatest hits all the way home. Some how two of the guys were able to sleep through all that. Monday morning at work sucked. I love the Cars.
