I'm like Quil, I like to read stuff. But there are no good books on flyfishing for bass and I've read a bunch. At least not since I looked last and just gave up. I'll be honest and say that this was several years ago. But most of it is either a long advertisement for something they want to push on you or it's a trout fisherman that writes a bass fishing book. According to them you only need a standard popper, a sneaky pete, a wooly bugger and a clouser, oh oh oh probably a sculpin pattern, don't forget that, And you will need a 9' 6wt. It's the only thing that will work. And in a lot of ways they are right. All these items will catch you some smallies, but what do you do when you get bored with a bunch of 10 inch fish? You start thinking about it from the bass fishing world and try to merge them together. That's when you will find good success.
Lots of good information around here. Read, ask, apply. That's all it takes...........oh and an 8 or 9wt rod.
