smallmouth wade fishing opportunities in the spring
Flysmallie replied to Fishmonger's topic in Smallmouth Talk
Those smallmouth in that Indian are actually Neosho's. That's where our Neosho movie filming begins in March. -
I Thought One Of The Problems With 2 Strokes Was Noise??
Flysmallie replied to snagged in outlet 3's topic in General Chat
I don't care if the thing doesn't make a noise at all, at 70MPH we aren't having a conversation. -
That was an amazing catch that he made, but yeah, his team got smoked.

He had a bad day!

I think it’s hilarious.

This is a huge work in progress but it's the beginning of what I expect to be a great adventure. There is more info at our website www.neoshobass.com. I have been given permission to add a 5 part series on the Neosho Bass that was done by The Ozark Podcast. I would recommend that everyone listen to at least the first two episodes. Lots of good information in that. I should have it all added to our website by the end of the weekend. We begin filming at the end of March on what we consider a premier Neosho stream, and have many other trips planned for the remainder of the year.

Never wanted to throw one with gear, why would I want to on a fly rod?

Don't shoot the messenger just sharing and making us think.
Flysmallie replied to BilletHead's topic in Conservation Issues
Maybe not. The problem I see is not the guides, hopefully they have always been able to catch them. However it does seem a little odd to me that they can sell fish but I cannot. Oh well, I don't care. But here is a scenario that many don't consider. I know a guy that has a dock on an area lake. He's not much of a fisherman. In past years he has spent a lot of time on his dock catching enough crappie to feed him and a few friends once a year. So a couple of years ago he goes with another friend that has FFS and they come home with limits. So rookie fisherman gets FFS on his ski boat. Now his friends have a fish fry about once a month and more friends are fed. He doesn't care about conservation, he only cares about being the guy that always has crappie to eat. If you think it's not causing any damage, your IQ is too low. -

Dude, that’s the American way! Everything is political. -

Doesn’t take a genius to know it’s going to have an impact. -
On the River - A history of the Ozarks float trip
Flysmallie replied to Quillback's topic in Reading
That's the story I was told as well. My dad and I, and a friend of his were fishing nearby and he told us that story. -
That’s because they are hard to see during the daytime. I lose mine in the sky all the time. Kind of hard to miss one at night with the lights. I see no more in Springfield than I have ever seen. Always a little increase around Christmas but other than that it’s pretty much the same. My wife is unimpressed of me not freaking out about it like her.

On the River - A history of the Ozarks float trip

I was talking more about the costs of the two options. Can you fish on Table Rock for 2.50 a day? I can sure as hell still float for $25 or less a day. -

Dam built 54 thru 58. I know one was born in 38. It’s a small possibility but I know that wherever the stories are from, they have to be good. But I’ve never met them either. LOL -
On the River - A history of the Ozarks float trip
Flysmallie replied to Quillback's topic in Reading
Very interesting. I need to read that at some point. This Saturday I’m interviewing a couple of guys that may have floated the White before the dams. I won’t know for sure until I get a chance to talk to them. Going to put it all together for a video about outdoorsmen of the Ozarks. -

Zoom floating worm in pink. The Tackle HD ones that @Mitch f makes have promise but I haven’t had a great chance to try them out. -
That's the only thing that matters. If you have confidence in it, then do it. Most likely you will be rewarded. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Not really but there's not much science used in the opinions of most Americans. Oh well, luckily none of this affects me. Carry on padding the profits of the elite.

I love how everyone has been programmed to attack "green" energy and to protect big profit energy. There are a lot of great ways to safely create energy. But in this country, profits are king. Nothing, not even your life, is more important.

I had a delivery driver run into the back of a parked MoDOT truck south of STL. It had big flashing lights on it. He said he didn’t see it. Surprisingly it didn’t kill him.

As long as nobody gets hurt, I love the sound of this. Money in my pocket! And out of the insurance companies!! I got no use for totals though, that doesn’t help me. But I’m positive your kid will never be a good enough driver for you, no one would be. But at some point you can trust her or one of her dumb friends that she has to ride with.

I got a ticket for 90 in a 45 before I had a drivers license. My dad was so happy.

I have a guy that lives down the street from me I call "The Russian". I actually have no idea where he is from, its probably not Russia, but he's a really good guy. His english is horrible. I rarely speak to him but when I do I mostly have no idea what he is saying. He's been here for over 20 years and it doesn't seem like not knowing english has held him back. He actually seems to be doing quite well.
