  1. While I don’t have a fancy aluminum frame, I have the same seat for my canoe. I freaking love that thing! Very comfy for my fatass. And it releases easy with nothing sticking out so I can still haul it upside down.
  2. I would be interested in flat warts if you have any. Color does not matter.
  3. I’ve only fished it a few times but always enjoyed it. Now it’s been a long time and I have also wondered if it was worth the trip. The good news is that you have a lot of options fairly close by if you have to adjust.
  4. Beaver has never been and never will be the lake that Table Rock is. You can’t compare the two.
  5. Both of them are great in their own way.
  6. Well I guess all is good to go then. If fishermen are always catch and release on bass wouldn’t it be much easier to just do away with any harvest laws on them. No sense in useless laws.
  7. I don't know but in my case I was told that my boat needed to be off plane before I got to the bouy. But at the same time I needed to be inside those bouys by a certain time and I was cutting it close. Hell there was a bass in the livewell that was still attached to a rod. Our last fish was caught within five minutes of end of fishing. I was still a couple of miles from the marina. The worst part of the whole deal was my wife, girlfriend at the time, was at the weigh in. We went to dinner that night at the home of the folks that owned the marina. Mr. Water Patrol was there, as usual, and gave me crap about it all night long. I didn't know it yet, but that was the beginning of the end of my tournament fishing. Events that happened that day sealed the deal. And the ticket wasn't part of it. Fishing for money does bad things to people.
  8. The thing that would be most concerning to me is, how many meat fisherman are now booking trips to Table Rock to catch limits? I bet it's more than you think.
  9. I’d be interested in that info. One of our group really wants to catch one but I’m trying to avoid wasted time looking for nothing.
  10. Gonna be a blood bath. And a whole lot of fisherman that, all of a sudden, can’t tell them apart. I hope it works.
  11. Politically correct is such a douche term. Quit using it. We only see the big news worthy ones. But I can guarantee you that those weirdos on the Niangua will do twice as much damage. They don’t speak English very well either but everyone just looks the other way.
  12. I’ve seen more white rednecks get tickets for poaching than anyone else. They speak English and probably some of them can read. But that doesn’t stop them. You can go down the James just about any summer weekend and witness it.
  13. I was handed a ticket by the water patrol while carrying a bag of fish to weigh in for the same thing. It was a great moment that the whole crowd got to witness. Luckily we won and had big bass. But I never ran right up on one again.
  14. I agree with Marty. But sometimes the fat ugly ones are the most fun.
  15. My wife and daughters all have Kindles and love them. I use the Kindle app on my iPad. I like reading the books on the Kindle more than the iPad, seems easier on the eyes. But I like the flexibility of being able to jump on line and look things up or watch a video or whatever. Either way the Kindle system is great. I think the wife and I pay $15 a month for the service so most things we read are free. Just finished rereading The Odyssey on the iPad last night.
  16. 99% of the time I'm going to do the same. I might tell you what a sack of crap you are in the process, but I will already be moving. Usually the only time I will stand my ground is if it's someone taking advantage of another. I don't even have to know the victim. But I have also walked away from those. Sometimes intelligence wins out in my mind and I just let things go. Other times......well I'll just say that my daughters call it the nuclear option.
  17. I'm about as easy going as you are going to find. But that guy wouldn't have made a single cast in front of me without learning excatly what I thought of his actions. While it would't affect my day one single bit, they have to be told they are out of line. I'm not saying that you should have done that, I'm only stating the way I would have handled it.
  18. It's on the list. I've been close to purchasing one but I have no real reason to have one, but like you, I enjoy tinkering. Have you designed anything of your own to print?

How do you feel about a pizza oven in your boat?

    What's Cooking?

    It’s better than professional pizza.

A few weeks ago I was supposed to meet the gang at Crane for a weekend of fishing some private water. Pizza was on the menu for one of the nights. As I was getting a grocery list together I had AI create a menu. I didn’t have to give it much info outside of the pizzas and it did a pretty good job.
  24. 100% agree. In Oklahoma we would fish a little mountain stream for whites. Yes I’m aware I said Oklahoma and mountain stream in the same sentence. The water was gin clear. You could see the whites stacked in there. And you might pick up one here and there, but you really just had to be patient. Then all of a sudden, all of them were hungry and it was on. Then it would end and they would go back to just sitting there. Then you waited on the next round.
