  1. Monday I was having a hard time making up my mind. Do I go wade some small creeks, do I go paddle up somewhere, or should I just stay home and work on the things that need to be done. While I was trying to decide I was thinking about @snagged in outlet 3 post about buzz bait. So I said screw it and headed to the river with not much more than one buzz bait. And it worked just as it should. I could not find a smallmouth anywhere. I saw them in the river, they just wouldn't play with that buzzer. It was a beautiful day but the wind blew. I mean it sucked and it blew. Towards the end of my short 4 mile float it rained leaves. The entire river was covered. I got pretty good and getting the buzz bait through all that, but it didn't matter, they weren't coming up for it anymore. Here's a few pics of a really beautiful day. I planned on taking a ton of pics but I was trying to get my camera back into a dry bag at one point and heard a kerploop. You know the sound of something dropping in the water. I looked over expecting to see pliers or something in the water but what I saw terrified me. It was the mode dial off the top of my camera. So I had to beach the yak and get a little wetter than what I had planned. I have no idea why it just came apart. I was able to get it back together at home, which was relieving since I had a fairly serious photo shoot on Tuesday. Looks like I'm searching for my next camera system.

    Opsss

I had a bass boat come off when I stopped at a tollbooth in Oklahoma. Scared the crap out of me.
  3. Don't be too sure. Those idiots in Washington would set it all on fire for the right amount of money.
  4. The world needs a whole lot less of that. I will never understand people getting butthurt over how others enjoy their life. I've always wanted a jet boat but they just won't go where I want to go right now. There's a boat in the future but I will probably just go back to a bass boat at that point.
  5. No idea. But when I was a kid it wouldn't have bothered me. Somewhere around the time I turned 25 I figured out that I had become terrified of heights. I don't know why and when that change truly occurred.
  6. Cool. I have been wanting to see this. Heard about it on a podcast about the time it was released. Couldn't find it anywhere then.
  7. I used to like Buck Cherry. Then I saw them live and had the opportunity to meet them after they played. I left before they were ever done.
  8. I can hear this post.
  9. If it would go where I wanted it to go I would have one.
  10. I'm not much different. I've got enough goals given to me so I quit setting them when it comes to my time outdoors. I'm just along for the ride at this point.
  11. Wrong. Employees get terminated and prosecuted for it. It’s theft plain and simple. You steal you pay. Come to work for me and steal some gas and I’ll show you how it works.
  12. That’s not how it works in the real world.
  13. Not the ones I know. And that is a lot of people.
  14. It was called Tubby!
  15. They do just fine on it during a burnout. But of course they burn nitromethane for a run down the track.
  16. I have no idea what it is called but I had one of those little fat ones in the lower right hand corner. Had a replaceable twister tail that fit in that groove. Caught the sheet out of farm pond bass in Oklahoma.
  17. Same with mine and it’s not free. But I go in once a year for a wellness check. My doctor has been good enough to coach me through the ways of getting things covered. Have to jump through a lot of hoops, but I don’t get any surprises. Insurance companies are the scum of the earth. Before any body loses their mind, are don’t have the same feelings about local agents and adjusters. But the corporations are scum. Those people have an appointment with satan.
  18. I fought it for a long time.
  19. That’s what I have and have had zero issues. I fought the urge for a long time and finally gave in. It was a good purchase. I’ve heard all the issues. Auger locks up. Board goes out. Igniter quits. Someone blows the lid off when starting. I haven’t experienced any of that. I keep it covered most of the time, but it gets rained on too. I never take the pellets out like a lot recommend. I never vacuum the burn pot. I haven’t had a single issue. And I love being able to connect to it. Kind of a gimmicky thing but when there’s a foot of snow on the ground it’s pretty cool to have the smoker temp and meat temp right on your phone. And be able to make adjustments.
  20. This is how I feel about photography. I could make money at it but I already have a job and I don't want another. Maybe tournament fishing made me that way.
  21. What do you think of that machine? I've been looking at getting one.
  22. I don't think it was but you answered it well. Congrats on the catch.
  23. Lightfoot landing to Bolivar landing. Best part of the lake during that time.
  24. All of them.
