They are pretty creepy. Especially the one in the front in the last pic. It was still crawling along and hadn’t started to come out yet. There were a couple more crawling up the tree. Been a good hatch around the house this year.

Went to grab some stuff out of my truck and found this weirdness happening in the front yard.

One of my favorite two lakes in the world.

It’s not something I shopped for. Just had an opportunity several years ago to own some private stock in this company. Hell I can’t even tell you how much I have or how much it’s worth. Haven’t looked at the value or read any of the quarterly reports they send me in years.

I have some stock in a propane company. I hope it goes way up this year.

I'm sure it would be pretty slow going for me nowadays. Sure is some good fishing up in that area.

I have a pair of hemos that have a little scissor section that works great. Or some cheap pliers I picked up at Academy work well too. When I first started using braid, back when it first became a thing, I had some small side cutters that were awesome for cutting it. I never use a leader and it hasn’t made a difference. Tested that many times on streams that are gin clear. Never learned any new knots either. The ones I started out using have always worked fine.,

There have been some good spots around Bolivar landing in the past.

Have had that a few times while fly fishing from the beach. Have no idea what any of them where but they peeled line off that reel faster than anything I have ever seen.

Either way works. I just fill mine up with braid.

When I was 17 I caught my first smallmouth from a Missouri stream. And while I have caught smallmouth all over Missouri since then, I have never been back to that spot where I caught the first one. Not until Monday. I was given one opportunity to relive that memory but I blew it. Decent fish too.

Then I’d find another insurance company.

Took some rookies floating today. Thought I was pretty cool with a canoe and two kayaks on top of the SUV, until I ran across some teenage girls with three kayaks stacked on a Camry. Of course the put in was a mess. Never seen that many people trying to put in at that spot in my life. And this is not a place serviced by outfitters. My daughter and boyfriend had only been in a canoe once so I got them all settled and shoved them off. Next up was the wife who has never been in a kayak. Got her all settled and shoved her off. Now I just have to jump in and catch up. Ended up flipping my kayak completely over right there. I’ve never even fell out of my kayak, much less flip it completely upside down. Luckily all those people were there to see it and help me gather my belongings. If you witnessed that you now know that was me.

I can eat as many California Rolls as you can put in front of me. Used to be a spot on north Glenstone with a drive thru. That place had great sushi.

Been going that way for a long time. Only thing I hear from the "media" is the BS everyone spews here. I spend a lot of my time in a vehicle but there are plenty of other things to listen to besides the Republican and Democrat news agencies. You might actually learn something useful in life too.
