  1. Sure wish I had your address.
  2. Well I sure as hell hope you are not exceeding the speed limit at any time. Willard? Well I know you aren't on 160. Somebody please make that a 4 lane! I know it's a regulation and I bought new boots to go along. But it's crazy for the state to require guys like Glen and Justin (and probably a lot of others) to buy new boots when they will most likely only see one body of water. Not to mention the fact that the scientists that came up with this idea are now saying "Well, maybe not". It was a knee jerk reaction that everyone is now pulling back from.
  3. Those are some good guys at Quality.
  4. So the guy that manages our store here in Springfield just came and told me that the package that he sent to our accounting department never showed either. The mail man comes here and picks all this stuff up, where does it go from there? His package had tracking on it but it doesn't show as being picked up. Where does this stuff just disappear to? It's not like the pkgs have no information on them. I think I'll go back to using UPS or FedEx. It's a little more but at least they scan it in as soon as they pick it up. Lesson learned.
  5. Agreed. That thing makes a hell of a splash too. If I can learn to cast a fly rod (badly) then anyone can.
  6. Black bass For largemouth bass, length limit is a 16-24” slot. Bass 16 inches and less or 24 inches or greater in length may be retained. Only one bass 24 inches or greater may be retained each day. For smallmouth bass (if present), minimum length = 14 inches. No minimum length on spotted and Guadalupe bass (if present.) Daily bag limit for all four species = 5 bass in combination.
  7. I'll do a little SBS when I tie them up. I'll give you an upskirt look too Geoff.
  8. Well first of all I know that you don't know me very well but I'm not mad or upset in any way. All you need to tell me is that I'm SOL! So here's the new breakdown: 1. Keep the flies. I can guarantee you need them more than me. Keep them please. 2. Yes I will send you some. 3. I don't need anything from you but I do like food and beer. Stream side would be preferred. 4. Bow down boy. 5. I forgive you but I don't consider it your fault. No worries. The only thing that upsets me is not being able to give everyone what they deserve. So if anybody from the swap wants to try some frogs pm me your address and I'll get some out to you. I have some new black sparkly foam that should work great.
  9. Well that's not good. I thought you said you had them? I mailed them on Feb 18th. I thought it was odd when you asked for my address since I included a self addressed stamped envelope for return. I've got a few laying around but it would be a few days before I can get some more done. You can either hold it another week until I get some more tied and get them to you or you can go ahead and send them and give me everyone's address and I'll send them directly to them. Either way I guess I gotta tie more flies. Won't happen tonight, maybe tomorrow.
  10. It's obviously aliens.
  11. I messaged it to you Mic.
  12. I have 3 daughters so I know very well what it's like. It's easier when you can keep them involved in the outdoors. My older two have always loved it. My youngest not so much. She hates frogs. but she has recently taken up Archery so that's a big plus for me. More dad time!!
  13. Sounds like a good time Don and it's good to hear from you.
  14. Not a thing wrong with that. More dads should be happy to spend time with their kids. They are only little for a short time.
  15. I haven't watched them play much this year but I did catch quite a bit of this game. I've been watching high school teams that play better than this lately.
  16. I know that a lot of my biggest have came on cloudy days. Sure there's a few that came on sunny days as well. Two of the best days I have ever had came when it was sleeting heavily.
  17. Good looking fly. I have tied quite a few in that style, just need to give them more attention.
  18. Luckily I haven't seen the total destruction a family of otters unloads on the fish populations. I think they could hurt a pond pretty good. One of my favorite holes on the lower James had a family of otters living in it. They would come out and watch you fish. Funny thing is the fish population never declined until a big flood rearranged things a few years ago. Now the otters are gone and so are the fish.
  19. Just listening to your oldass ramble on about it.
  20. That is awesome! Your fishing reports are killing me though.
  21. Me either. I was thinking the brown ones too.
  22. Like I said, they obviously don't understand what fishing is about. And I'm no purist. Not even close. I didn't start out in the outlets, too many people, not my style. I was also never a shuffler. Has it happened? Of course. But there is more to fishing than all this for me. Maybe I was lucky enough to outgrow the catch as many fish as I can no matter how I do it at a fairly young age. To each their own I guess, but I still feel sorry for them because they are missing some great fishing that the outlet cannot provide.
  23. I like treble hooks on flies!! Those are really nice.
  24. I drove up there yesterday just to look around. Still a little ice on the water so I knew it was cold.
  25. Standing in the outlet with 5 ft of line out isn't fishing either. I feel sorry for the guys that do it. They obviously don't understand what fishing is about.
