Caught these in Mountain Creek casting a wiggle wart parallel to the chunk rock banks, water temp ranged from 52 at the mouth to 55 in the back. Cant seem to find the walleyes, anybody having any luck on them ? I'll be here for a month.I'm in a black and gray Targa 18 with a 115 Merc if anyone wants to stop and chew the fat.

The easiest way for a novice to catch a striper, if you dont have live shad, is to jump fish them. Tie a spook on one rod and a fluke on another rod and look for the feeding fish. Ease into them slowly with your trolling motor. My favorite way to catch them is on topwater baits.

I stay at Fish Un Time in Oakland. Pet friendly, 8 bucks extra a night.Smallmouths on crayfish colored hot n tots wherever there is chunk rock. Good idea to hire a guide if its your first time there. I usually go on the full moon in May but this year Im going a week later. I fell in love with this lake a few years ago and plan on retiring there in a couple years.
