I am going to go ahead and place ALL the cold and late winter weather the last couple years on Dave. Some people say it's global warming. Some people say it's polar caps melting. I say it's the Revenge of the Groundhog. Dave has cursed us all by his irreverent behavior behind the wheel and even further lack of respect for all God's creatures including large fur bearing rodents.

Anyone notice yesterday afternoon Tackle Warehouse had a "fish head spin" as their featured new product on their home page? It's already sold out and on back order til mid March. Strike King, Lucky Craft, Rapala and other big lure companies have to be very disappointed that their baits didn't get much exposure and were beat out by an old road runner with a bigger hook, blade and head. 4 Available Colors

Yep. It was a feel good hire for MIZZOU with Anderson but now it appears he is just in over his head running with the big boys of Div.I. It's not like we are losing close ball games, they aren't even close. When things aren't even competitive after tip off time to step back and analyze exactly what is the problem (besides glaring lack of talent).

I hope Duke is a #1 seed and loses to a #16 seed with all the ribbing and grief you are giving me over the Tigers. That is the only consolation I will accept this season after MIZZOU's joke of a campaign. I flipped the game on Saturday to see we were already down 20+ with 10+ min to go in the 2nd half to Vandy. I know this is Kimmy Anderson's first year but my God this is bad to where it wouldn't shock me if they canned him after one season. Dave, I also agree that Feb. makes sense as does having it somewhere in the south. Texas, Florida, Arizon, Bama, Southern Cal, etc. Maybe every 5 years toss the northern or midwest guys a bone and have it there.

Bill, Sounds like you were glued to your laptop as you are on point with everything you've said. Something that really stuck out to me yesterday while watching the live feed was when KVD came on stage with Zona. KVD said that water temp is "highly overrated" and amount/hours of sunlight during the day is much more important as that is the driving factor in when fish start to make migratory/spawning moves. Found that interesting. Also he said that surface temp is also vastly overrated because after the first few inches or feet the water is relatively unaffected by air temp fluctuations/increases. Water temps at say 10,20,30+ feet remain the same temp even though there has been a few days of warm weather.

The weigh in is terrible. WAY WAY WAY too long as every has already mentioned. But let's cut them some slack on the live feed from the boats. This is their first crack at it and I would say it was a huge success overall. I would imagine that next year they will make improvements, adjustments and tweaks after they get feedback from Elite guys, fans, sponsors, etc. I'm sure they will see the problem with only being on 5 boats and if they aren't catching then it makes for bad TV. They will probably expand to more boats linked in next year and hopefully keep the coverage going live from start to finish and not shut it off 3 hours they are off the water. I also agree that I much prefer the "war room" they had in years previous as opposed to being in the expo center. I was watching at one point where there was a lull in action and cut to that D End for the Bears that was a guest and they had kids at the expo showing their NFL "sack dance".....seriously? That was horrible and totally off topic. Stick to the fishing....because after all that's why we are tuned in.

If regulations in states want people to switch to Tungsten then how bout they make it frickin' affordable. Spending $40 on on 8 bullet sinkers just ISN"T feasible. Bring the prices down closer to lead and sure I will get Tungsten stuff. That or find a cheaper alternative metal that is safe other than Tungsten. Until then......no way Jose.

Bill, Well said. I thought the same thing when watching the live coverage of Ike, Skeet and others today. Most of them are sticking to their guns and lots of guys struggling. Some guys didn't get a bite for HOURS. Some of these Elites didn't weigh in a single fish today. Makes me not feel so bad when I don't have much success on a particular trip. Sometimes fish just aren't going to cooperate like we want them to. We kick ourselves and second guess ourselves when things don't really go according to plan. But reality is fishing is hard and you have to really appreciate the days when you figure them out and try to forget the days when they beat you down.

I don't recommend using Dave at all. All his proceeds are donated out of state to Coach Krzyzewski and used in most likely highly illegal NCAA recruiting practices. By giving money to Dave you could be implicated in these sketchy "booster" programs.

Oh come on. It's not that bad. Walmart is in it's own stratosphere of hoosier/redneckness.

If the same type of clientele starts gracing Bass Pro Shops as Walmart Lord help us.

Yeah what terrible timing. Hard to enjoy yourself at the biggest stage in fishing with that bouncing around in your head all day.

There is a ton of bull that goes on at BBC and you have to weed through the clutter but 2 brains are better than one. There is a lot of info to be had and you just have to take that info and make an educated decision. I've learned a ton from all the guys over there.

Didn't say they aren't useful or not used on Table Rock just said that Table Rock really isn't the ideal lake for them like they would be say Florida lakes or other shallower bodies of water where they consider anything past 15 feet deep.

Alex. I would consider getting 64gb card instead of the 32gb. Yes it is a little more money but you will fill a 32gb card before you know it and then you are screwed the rest of the day/weekend. Unless you have a device where you can edit or delete files on the card on the water you are SOL.

Bill, No doubt you will get some great feedback here. But, this forum is TINY compared to BBC (BassBoatCentral). Also, Table Rock as you know really isn't set up great for Power Poles/Talons as rarely are you going to set up shop in 10 feet or less and remain there so our crowd here in the Ozarks might not have a lot of experience with them. So my suggestion would to be post this exact same question over there. You will get more feedback than you probably want and it will come from guys who use Power Poles/Talons from all across the country.

I had: McClelland DeFoe Wheeler Cliff Pace Jason Christie Not doing so hot. I had Mueller in my inital lineup but swapped him out. Looks like I made a mistake. Guy is good. It's only 1 day though and anything can happen....just ask Randy Howell.

Ya I truly have no idea how a company sets up their warranty program. But I don't see why you would need to have an account set up to fund claims. If you break a Shimano rod that is no longer in production they send you the new model that is it's equivalent. The cost of doing that should be built into selling each rod but like I said I'm sure their is way more to it than what I know.

I used to talk smack on Mercer at any given opportunity. Kinda annoying and a little to "TV Dramatic" almost Chris Berman'esk if you will. But I come to realize he seems like a really nice guy (duh he's Canadian) and he really does have a genuine love for fishing. We all have that friend that talks to much and gets annoying at times but love them nonetheless. That is Dave Mercer for me. Plus it's a pretty tough act to follow after Bob Cobb.

Bill, Not sure why that is happening to your laptop. Could be a multitude of things. Could be you have a virus. Could be your firewall or internet settings are blocking it. Could be that you have to low of memory available on your laptop to view it. Could be you don't have the proper flash player installed to run the program to show the video. Hard to say without being there. Maybe try restarting your laptop and then click the link.
