  1. you should check with the state fish and game commission, you could be getting the wrong advice on baits. The advice could be coming from someone that uses bait in a lure only section.I see people using things that are prohibited all the time.
  2. I like to stretch my line on big fish, trailer hitches don't put up a good fight until they reach 20 mph.
  3. I make a better spinnerbait than any of those companies, cheaper to.
  4. Wait till you see what Cabela's prices will jump to now that Basspro has bought them.BPS has the highest prices in the industry.Go in one of their stores and look at any item with a price tag and count the # of stickers on the hanger, there will be 5-7 old price labels. When you see a sale advertising 20% off that means you are paying what they were selling it at 2 weeks ago..Please don't fall for a really good ad price in one of their sale fliers, they will only have 4-5 of those items in the store.I went to the customer service counter a couple of years ago and turned in my rewards card because of their high prices.I would say boycott them till their prices come down or they fold. On the high prices of spinnerbaits,Lureparts Online sell 100 #7 gold Indiana blades for around $90.00 depending on the daily price of gold, skirts cost .65 cents apiece, wire arm .10 cents each, owner hook will run .45 cents, swivel $1.00 split rings .4 cents, now paint the head and put it together. As far as not needing a good swivel for your spinnerbait, you don't know what you are talking about.I bet you don't believe in global warming either.
  5. looks like Charlie Chaplin fishing
  6. hey rick, you need to call me for anything you don't know.Better yet ask your wife, mine knows everything HaHa!!!!
  7. I had a previous pair of orvis guide waders that started leaking, returned them to orvis with a return order. They upgraded me to their newest guide wader which cost a hundred dollars more for no charge.Mind you my waders I returned were not at all abused, just started leaking.i don't think one could complain about that service.
  8. I wish I could get away with owing a million bucks.Just throw up a blockade and let them starve to death .Cut off all power,it gets cold in that part of the country. They give white people a bad image.
  9. The old adage You get what you pay for is true when it comes to waders.I own a pair of orvis sonic welded guide waders that cost over $400 dollars. You can fish in them 12 hours and never know you have them on.Cheap is not the way to go on waders. If at all possible try to get a really good pair and you will not regret it.I don't have a lot of money I spend it once and seldom sorry I went with something more expensive. The great thing about Orvis is their great return policy if you have any problems, that alone is worth the extra money
  10. #4 lb seguar all the way.I would stay away from their Red Label,it is a little cheaper.Carbon Pro Seguar is the line I have thrown for years ,I like it so much I buy it in 1000 yard spools. There is one other brand I throw jerk baits on,it is called Dam from Germany.I throw 6.4 lb test,it is not fluorocarbon but still has a fine dia.and great strength.I know Phil used to throw it.
  11. go to Tablerock for smallies, not as many in Stockton
  12. you tube is a great place to look for almost everything
  13. dynaking barracuda will handle #26-6/0 with no problem.i have used one for ten years.i make a lot of bass jigs and spinnerbaits, can switch to size 16 scud in a matter of seconds, plus it is a true rotary vise.last one you will ever need
  14. maybe shot was a little over the top,how about they are forced to sleep in those moldy cabins for a month
  15. what ever it cost, what a waste of money .The parks dept should be shot, those are idiots that let those be built
  16. Like I said nice fish.Removing the protective slime coating on the fish will almost certainly kill it over time .It does not happen in a few hours.I applaud you and your family for protecting a valuable resource, however you might want to read the Mo. Dept. of Conservation recommendation for handling trout. You can find this info up by outlet #1 at taney.Just think about it next time.
  17. nice fish, too bad the picture was not taken with the fish in the water.I bet the fish did not do well when it was released
  18. broken rods 12 inches from the tip usually occur when you lift a fish out of the water with the tip pointing to high in the air.If you lift a fish with rod more parallel to the water you run less of a risk of breaking your rod.Get on you tube for rod repair ideas
  19. never ever never overload a boat.It is a sure way to a tragic ending. With added current, the closer you get to the dam,the more dangerous it is.
  20. Labs are smart, teach him to run a boat by himself.HAHA?
  21. It is always nice when your dog can talk to you and you know what it wants.
  22. outstanding rod in a IMX,it is also a great 10 inch worm rod.I always have one of these in the boat for the past 15 years
  23. I once caught a tree on a backcast,I am lying,1000 trees on backcasts.
  24. Guys,Just remember "All men are equal in the eyes of a fish"
