Yep, last one was pull through and 60' long. Not this time, I'm going to have to unhook, but a nice circle to do it.

Dave as usual is totally correct. Those post spawners will move up maybe by next week if the surface temps move into the 70's with the warmer weather coming. Shad spawn will move them up. Right now why would they. Sunday water at the knob here was 62 degree murky and full of debris. Can't tell you how many tubers, skiers and swimmers were in it. Campbell Point full of folks in that cold water. I'm a dinosaur and can't understand it.

19 years ago we built a 10,547 sq. ft. home. We're downsizing to. 3,400 sq. ft. plus a 3 stall garage. Just about the same price to build. Totally insane.
-
We have a year of new home building, but we’re going to go slow and do some things we want.
-
Thanks Dave I’m thinking we will like this retirement thing.

Becky wanted to see the dam release so over we went. My gosh that is one beautiful unspoiled lake. Lots of really fun information on the pond at the overlook We had a great time just being out today.

Yep, every lawn and parking lot with a power pole in it will be my target. On another note at times that can be hard to fish with topwater or a spinner just due to leaf litter. We walked around Campbell Pt. Today and it would have been tough. Just looked like pieces of brown paper sacks torn to pieces floating.

Its looking to me like a 927 crest, but may go a bit higher. Its really slowed down but still climbing.

Not yet, but you know its coming. Just started to clean up a bit too. Kings River is the runoff cesspool for TRL

At Shell Knob the Beautiful West side of the lake the weeks total to this point 5:20 pm is 6.5 inches here at the Lake Cabin. What a mess.

The answer is yes the fish most often in that format will return to the bed, when released a mire few feet from where it was caught. Caught my largest SM ever off a bed. Took her over to Big M Marina when Denver Dixion owned it. I'm showing my age here. She was 6#3oz. On his scales. I took her back and released her right on the bed. She swam off. I came back later that day and she was back up there I flipped the tube back in there and she carried it out of the bed and dropped it as I did not set it on her again. No male, just her by herself, both times. That's pretty much the extent of my bed fishing. Andy Morgan fished Bollinger today. Fished the same water as Browning fished yesterday. Buddy said he saw Browning in Rainey Creek today, so he was about 20 miles above anyone else. If Wheeler stalls on those bedders tomorrow, those river guys will run him down. Their fishing my home water. Also those fish JVD is catching are staging pre-spawn females. Might be a post in there, but they are clean and fat. He is catching big ones. I think he also has a shot if Wheeler can't see his or they have moved off. Browning and JVD have been on them all week. Browning has more water than JVD, as I believe JVD is recycling his. Browning has Proctor Creek, The Buffalo's, Lick Creek, and 2 dozen more stained spawning areas up there by himself especially on a rainey Thursday. One Heck of a boat ride from PB2, but worth a 100 big ones. I've made that run a bunch, for a whole lot less. Shoot, I've seen them run clear to Deer Creek from PB2. Are they all launching from PB2 or can they launch anywhere? I'm pretty sure its PB2 and they get 30 minutes to get to their hole, prior to start. Bollinger is probably the last river mileage with a signal between there and Deer Creek and Deer Creek would be Warsaw and really spotty. That's why no Browning. Be interesting tomorrow.

Just spoke to McClelland. Tried to work the bedding fish the first day at the Dam. Didn’t work out. Went up the river today and had 16 pounds on a buzzer and jackhammer above the HD bridge Said even though he only had 4 pounds the first day he should have made the cut. Lots and lots of good bites today but didn’t fish clean.
-
I know Browning was I saw him in Bollinger Creek.

We ate at Flat Creek today at 1pm. Looked good up high. Don’t know about Buzzard or where the previous mud line starts. Good James River water may be at Buzzard by tomorrow, ahead of what’s coming

JVD and Browning are both doing what a lot of us do on lake O. this time of year when not fishing the clear water, which I get tickled at when I hear them saying, clear water. I’m a lake O. Guy, but clear water there is pretty murky here on the WR Chain. About as clear as it gets up there is James River Green. Guess it doesn’t matter to Wheeler, if he can see-em he can catch them. Live scope or naked eyes. Pretty ridiculous.

No way I would have said a word🤪. However those things tend to bite me, cause theN you got to help the Rude SOS.

Guy at Harbor Freight in Branson said they were stolen blind this last weekend during business hours. people walked out with $1000’s of dollars in unpaid for items. Mostly hand held power tools Berryville KFC told Becky they had to quit their lunch bar cause people were stealing hundreds of pieces of chicken per day. Putting it in bags under their coats or purses and walking out. lack of employees to police it.

New PB spotted bass on the Rock. Any ideas on weight

Fantastic fish, but it really does not look like a K. Carrying it’s load totally different than any I have seen. Regardless of what she is I’d be as proud as a speckled pup to have caught her. Congrats. -
Windy Friday at Bridgeport.

Every weekend and I mean every weekend there are multiple large tournaments here. The problem is they never go home. Lots of folks stay after the derby and lots come and stay the week prefishing for the next weeks derby. Ramps start getting busy 1 hr. Prior to daylight and it never stops. Buster has been guiding Bull Shoals all Spring and says he sees very, very little fishing pressure and really no big or sport boats. Said thus far he is having one of the best Springs of his 20 plus year career. Fishing is fantastic no matter what species your looking for and you can fish where you want. Sounds like a plan. -
Jeff at TM is great with the guide community and sos is good line. Diameter is much larger than Maxima, and it really just does not cast as far, because you have to get into the 6# class to compete with the 5# Maxi. If you try to really launch the sos in 6# with a 7’ plus rod and say a 1/4oz. Swimbait at times it will throw a loop as it comes off the spool into the first guide. When I’m fishing that small swim bait my sole goal is to throw it out of sight, cover water and keep the bait in the strike zone as long as possible. I really like it, but after 1000’s of hours and 1000’s of clients I prefer the maxi. On a cost basis with experienced fishermen, sos is really good.
-
Just ultragreen and Maxi. Is expensive and the 5# at times is hard to find. Being a retired guide I always think line breaks or any line problems regardless of the experience of my clients is my total responsibility. Not my fault, your fault, only my fault. This goes for reel snarls and broken line, you just can’t have it as it waste time. You have Zero problems with Maxima on spinning reels, shallow, wide, deep or small spools. Don’t over fill the spool, close the bail by hand and have your reel drag adjusted correctly and your 100% good to go.
-
Anyone and I mean ANYONE that is not using 5# Maxima on their spinning gear for a Ned or a small Swim bait up to 3.3 inch and a 1/4 oz. head can do way better. ZERO memory simi-small diameter and strong as well rope. It will also cast a country mile. Same breaking strength as 8# Excel. I’ve put it to the test. Good Luck

There were a lot of them out in Baxter today. With the chop and the wind, they were very hard to see. Saw one get a Royal butt chewing when he went between the bank and some guys that were fishing down the stretch. Yaker should have gone around as he crossed a main creek channel and came right In front of where they were fishing. Don’t need a 300HP To be rude.

Have not heard if BWM has a totally certified tech. Very important. MRC DOES and you will have zero problems. Scott is terrific
