  11. Great! Love stories like this. I spent 3 hours over Memorial Day taking hooks off Bluegill for my Wife, Daughter, and Son. It was a blessed day I will tell you that!
  12. Praying for the King family
  13. My fishing buddy, Jim, and I spent a long weekend out of Shell Knob. The bite was incredible. We landed over 100 fish for the weekend. We found the best bite to be from the bank out to 15 feet. The best banks were long tapered banks with basket ball size boulders or some fallen limbs in the water that were related to secondary points. The best baits of weekend were weight less Flukes (Pearl White), Shakey Head (watermelon-red flake) on a 3/16 oz head, C-Rig with a 3/8 oz sinker and a Fish Dr., and Wobble Head with a SK Mence in Watermelon-Red with a 7/16 oz head. The water temp went from 61-67 degrees throughout the weekend. We saw a number of bedding fish, and we left them alone unless they smashed into our baits. I would recommend getting out there, but I am not sure how the bite will fair with the cool down. They may stay put and commit to the spawn. Good Luck! Here is the plastic damage I did this weekend!
  14. Great Fish!
  15. Bill, Thanks for the great trip. Top Class operation and friends!
  16. Did you place a mono backing on the spool. I was having the same issue, and I simply took about 10-12 yards of 17lb mono and used it as a backing form my braid. The problem was the line was simply spinning around the reel. The backing solved the problem for me.
  17. 40lb braid with a 7ft leader with 12lb fluorocarbon
  18. 10" Power Worm Green Pumpkin or Blue Fleck
  19. My dad started me out fishing at Truman for crappie, and then I would spend hours on my grandparents' dock on Table Rock. I would always go down to TRL in the summer for a week. My grandfather, who was in pretty poor health, taught me as much as he could from his recliner chair. I could listen to him talk for hours about how to fish Table Rock. My mom and Grandmother still share great stories about my grandfather fishing, My Dad took me on a canoe trip to Canada for the first time in 1993. We have now been to Minnesota or Canada a dozen times. I also use to spend a month in Illinois with my other Grandmother. She would take me out to the local ponds or my Aunt and Uncle's private lake. I still think about those times, and I can't wait to start taking my kids on trips.
  20. Happy Birthday!! Have a great day and year!!!
  21. I have had my best success on McStick (Blue bandit, Norman Flake, and Green Chrome) and RC Sticks (Pro Blue). Match them up with 8-10lb line and you are good to go for the day.
  22. Great Job! You guys make me jealous...it is snowing in Kansas City
  23. That is very close...NOW I know were to get replacements
  24. My favorite head was the try tungsten ike head, but they are discontinued, so I will let someone else chime in on the head. I love the ZOOM Shakey Head worm. I prefer watermelon red, green pumpkin, and Watermelon Candy. You get 20 worms in a bag, and they flat catch 'em!
