They're probably used to guys showing up in waders asking to just catch one Koi out of the display. Gotta knock one off the species list.

Salmon is just OK for me. I gave a lot away, some of my neighbors loved the stuff. I used to smoke some of it, that was excellent. My favorite west coast fish to eat were ling cod.

Yep, I started using the Quillback moniker when I lived in WA and was on the steelheader.net forum, I've had it for a long time. I have also caught the saltwater version when I lived there, it is an ugly fish but tasty to eat.

There's a lot I like about NW Arkansas, but one thing I don't like is that it has really grown. Might make a move someday, still kicking around where to go. Mountain Home area is on the list, or maybe East Texas, somewhere around Toledo Bend or Rayburn. Not going anywhere that has a real winter.
