It was too cold early for my wimpy self, so I had a delayed start this morning and didn't launch until near 0830. They were biting early, I caught 3 off the ramp on a jerk bait before I launched.
Deep bite was on for a while, I decided to throw a grub on a 1/4 oz head, drug it on the bottom in 30-40 FOW and caught some bass, mostly spots.
Caught a couple on the Ned rig fishing close to shore.
Caught a little over 20 bass, 3 were keepers.
The one largemouth keeper I caught had one of those split right in the middle lower jaws. The fish was healthy considering it had a busted lower jaw. Sure would like to know what causes that.
