  1. Put in early, fog was thick, had to start over on the gravel point off the park at the mouth of Viney. I caught 3 bass there, all on a Nutech Grass jig before enough of the fog lifted so that I could get where I wanted to get to. Had a consistent bite all morning, never was a hot bite, but I could pick one up here and there. There was top water activity, mostly fish out over the channel or a ways off some of the rocky points, they'd usually bite if I could get the top water on them right after they came up. I could also get a few bites on a slow rolled 3.8 Keitech on those deep fish. Problem was is that the bass were scattered so it would take a lot of casts to get a bite. Caught several on the 1/2 oz Grass Jig, most of the bites came on the fall or swimming it back to the boat. Used a Rage Craw as a trailer. And caught a few on a c-rigged Zoom UV Speed craw. 2 best smallies came on the c-rig. The pattern that was working for me was top water and Keitech over deep water, c-rig the craw on gravel points, and throw the jig around trees. Put 19 in the boat, several keepers. Had some missed opportunities especially on the Keitech - had a good spot pull off right at the boat as I was getting ready to net it. Keitech bite was really squirrely, they'd pop it and just not hook up. Had another good puller on the c-rig that came off, bet it was a smallie. I think I remember seeing the WT at 78. 2. I accept your apology.
  3. Srappie, another prion related disease, has been documented in England since the 18th century. No evidence so far it is transmissible to humans.
  4. They injected it into their brain. Show me a case where a human being contracted some sort of prion disease from eating a CWD infected deer. You make one more personal attack directed at me and I will make some on you.
  5. Nope, CJD prion is different from the one causing CWD, there is reading out there on prions if you are that interested. or you can listen to someone like MoCarp who has no idea what he is talking about.
  6. Check back with me when you are capable of having a rational discussion. Probably won't happen, and until then you're not worth the time.
  7. So far CWD has not been documented as being transmitted to humans right? So odds are pretty good I won't get it. Cruezfeld Jacobs Disease (CJD) is the one that if anyone was to worry about getting that would be it, it occurs once in a million. So again I'm not worried. You can worry if you want, that's fine by me.
  8. CWD is way, way, way down on the list of things that I think might kill me. As a matter of fact it's not even on the list.
  9. Wow, that's a great fish!
  10. 8" gill is a good one for these highland reservoirs.
  11. That looks like a big ol' gill - how many inches is it? Did you see any top water striper activity?
  12. I second Ham, hoping it is good news. Have you considered a long bill cap in conjunction with a lightweight hoodie such as ones made by Aftco? Said combo should keep the sun off of your face. Long bill caps also are much better at shading your eyes than your typical short bill baseball type cap. I haven't tried one of these Duluth hats, but I like the look. A little pricey, but I'd rather spend a little extra on protection than fork over bucks to the dermatologists. https://www.duluthtrading.com/mens-no-fly-zone-extra-long-brim-cap-70527.html?&srccode=GPSHPMN&chnl=ps_prospect_pla_mn&region=out_region&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5rGquJfq4gIVhsBkCh3AGg2LEAQYASABEgKJw_D_BwE Basspro has an inexpensive longbill, but has that big ol' BP logo on it.
  13. They are a great jig!
  14. I participated in that sale myself.
  15. Way to go Bill! (I know where that spot is). 😄 Good luck up by Eagle Rock if you go there, and I'll be curious to hear now you do. I hope next week isn't a wash out, I haven't been on the Rock in a while and would like to get up there and give it a shot.
  16. That bluegill Ham caught was really a big one, much bigger than any of the other gills we caught. Interesting coloration too, greenish/blue head and had an overall kind of blue look to it, colors didn't quite come through on the photo.
  17. Some quality fish there Mike. What size ned head are you using?
  18. Ham made the trip over from Mountain Home today and we were targeting bream. We fished banker's hours, from 0830 until around 5 PM. We mostly fished red worms on drop shot rigs, we threw a few bass lures around, but the bass weren't cooperating so we pretty much stuck to pan fishing. We caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 bream, mostly bluegills but we did get a few very nice redears. Ham caught a redear that measured 11.5 inches and I think we caught another 4 that were in the 10-11 inch range. Bluegill were all in the 6-8 inch range, but Ham again had big honors with a bluegill that unfortunately we did not measure, but it might have made 10 inches, it was a really nice gill. Ham did get a picture of it. I kept about 8 gills and one redear. @Johnsfolly, @ZigJigman, @BilletHead One of those jumbo redear: A few other species: Ham will add some other pics when he gets a chance, he's probably still driving right about now.
  19. Well I can't say I am happy to see the Bruins lose, but congrats to the Blues and their fans.
  20. That's a really nice pumpkinseed. Ham is coming over here tomorrow, we're breaking out the red worms and Power Bait. Many species could get caught.
  21. Good stuff, glad to see ya'll had a great trip!
  22. Hope all goes well!
  23. Yeah I think you move about a 1/4 inch "farther out" every year. 😄
  24. Nope, so far I have just buried one at a time. Thanks for the report, 21 lbs. is a great bag. Was it 5 fish or 6?
  25. Don't be giving away my secret locations!
