Only top water bite I can get is around Emerald beach, doesn't seem to work elsewhere. But, as you saw, too many boats there today so I did not fish it. Lot of bass boats out today, must be the cool weather.

Thought the bite might have picked up after the cool, rainy weather, but it was still tough - caught 7 bass, 2 were keepers. Did not catch any top water fish, just not much going on topside. Almost all fish came off steep chunk rock or bluff banks in 15-20 FOW on a watermelon/red Trick worm on a 3/8 oz wobble head. It was good to catch some fish on that kind of structure, so maybe some of them are starting to move on to it. Water temp 80.

Wow, I've been out all day and missed all this trade news. Sox sure unloaded, I hope they got something in return. Not sorry to see Drew go, I don't even know why they signed him this year, should have left Bogaerts at short.

I don't follow the Cards much, but the must have a hole in their rotation if they picked up Masterson. Just a so-so pitcher.

Or spin bait - whatever it's called. Anyway I threw one (the Duo Realis) yesterday for a bit, thought it might be something they'd eat while they were feeding on shad. Nothing touched it, tried different retrieve speeds, depths, but no takers. Anybody have any luck with these things?
