  1. I've probably been on several hundred commercial flights in my lifetime back in my working days. Had a couple of those touch and go incidents, that's always a little spooky.
  2. Said he grabbed a limb to stay afloat, no life jacket? But, glad to hear he made it.
  3. I thought that a-rig bite would be going, and also the jerk bait. Tough winter so far.
  4. Thanks for the report, darn fish are being stubborn this winter.
  5. Tube? Did somebody say tube? LOL Congrats on a good day!
  6. Nice pics, thanks for posting!
  7. No pun intended.
  8. Yep good points.
  9. Yeah good thing it turned out all right in the end. I wonder at what point the crew realized they were landing at the wrong airport and thus a short runway? Somewhere in the process you'd have to recognize what's going on and make that decision to make a quick stop before you run out of runway.
  10. I hear you on that. The rod I was using is rated down to 1/32, so it should toss them, but like you're suggesting, I'd need to spool it with 4 lb. line. I was using 6# when we fished in December, great for 1/8. just OK for 1/16, and probably be a bit of a problem with 1/32.
  11. Yeah I was thinking that 1/32 would be tough to toss.
  12. Flight crew is going to have some 'splainin to do.
  13. That's pretty darned good fishing. What set up do you throw the 1/32 oz on?
  14. I can't remember exactly, but I would say 10-15 pages or so. Lots to cover out there, saltwater, freshwater, big game, small game, water fowl.
  15. Yep that would be a good thing to have a weekly. Used to get "Fishing and Hunting News" weekly when I lived in WA state - however guys would complain about it saying that it was giving away their secret spots and baits - you can't win.
  16. Too windy for me to fish, then the power went out so I missed most of the Carolina/Niner game - can't fish, could not watch football - the double whammy!
  17. I never did get a good deep jig bite this summer like I did last summer. Spring jig bite was good, had some good days on chunk rock banks, but never did get that deep football jig bite off the deep end of points.
  18. Welcome, and nice fish!
  19. The Thursday edition of Benton County paper will usually quote someone from HLS in the weekly report. It's very generic stuff, but I guess it could give a person a starting point.
  20. HAHA, trust me, it's the other way around. I'm hoping in that maybe in another 20 years of bass fishing that I'll have the knowledge that he does.
  21. I don't have any secret spots, I just follow the herd and try and catch the ones they leave behind.
  22. Arkansas played Florida well yesterday, but mental mistakes, missed free throws, and a missed layup cost them in the end. Frustrating loss. Kentucky is up next.
  23. Welcome! Good to see a new member from your part of the state. Hopefully you'll be able to share some reports of the fishing in that area.
  24. Cool, I'll be interested to hear what you think of the HFC dads.
  25. Now Academy has an entry in the "Megabass cheap copy" jerk bait lineup. Even though the description says that it is floating, word is that they suspend. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h20-xpress-153-ultimate-jerk-shad-1-2-oz-floating-twitch-bait/pid-891753?color=Ghost+Shad&N=97009336+4294966997
