  1. Taking game one.
  2. White bass fajitas are great. Even without the best (secret recipe) BBQ sauce on the planet.
  3. Pretty similar to what we did yesterday, but I have also fished so much in that area that I can draw on past experience as to what places might be holding bass. Fishing off shore, I'll certainly use the sonar to let me know if there are fish in the area.
  4. Finding them with the jig.
  5. Dutch and I hit the water at daybreak, around 60 early and 80's when we left. We covered a lot of water. the bass wanted to bite when we could find them, but finding them wasn't easy. We got a few off points early, including the big fish of the day, a 3 lb. largemouth caught by Dutch. Best bite was jigs up shallow out to about 20 feet. Rocky banks with timber. Caught a few on full size Zinkers and the Carolina rig craw. We caught 16 with 4 keepers. We both lost a few too. Saw a monarch butterfly, first and only one I have seen this fall. It acted like it wanted to land on me but took off after fluttering around my head. WT was about 77 when we left.
  6. I'm going to be 67 in a week. Hey, it's the new 40!
  7. And if you get it, you're getting old! 😃
  8. I lived near Worcester Mass, which is pronounced (by the locals) "Woostah" . R's are silent. So the correct pronunciation is - Woostahsheeah.
  9. The chicken was gooooddddd!
  10. Yeah, I thought it was over when they got swept by Houston a couple of weeks ago. The bats are in a slump. Maybe with the Pasquatch back, once the playoffs start they can score some runs.
  11. Chicken ready to go in the oven. Their BBQ sauce is so good, I was eating it out of the jar. Had to stop so I had some left for future cooking. Thanks Billetheads!
  12. I avoid the lake when the big tourneys are going on, especially on a Saturday. Looking at the results so far, looks to be a 6.14 leading. My speculation was that it would take one at least 7 to win. I would fish this thing if it was more convenient for me.
  13. It is.
  14. Went this morning, fished until 1 PM. Had to work for fish, caught 11, 3 keepers and the biggest one was close to 5lbs. Best bait was a Zoom UV Speed Craw on a Carolina rig. Caught one early on the buzzer, but that was the one and only buzz bait bite. Got a couple of the full Zinker. There's some fish out in 30 FOW, and some in the 5 -10 foot range. Hard to know where they are going to be. WT 79.
  15. Plenty of excess ramp geese on the lakes, that one won't be missed.
  16. Nice lunch!
  17. I don't remember ever seeing one on the Upper White. Not that I am complaining.
  18. All you can do is call the wardens.
  19. They were there in one of the bags, when it was time to go - they were gone! Maybe the flies carried them away, or those red bugs.
