  1. Canada Craw - yes, thanks - I could not remember the name.
  2. Hola Amigos! Caught another trout today, nice fat 16" rainbow. Son of a gun absolutely hammered the Ned and peeled drag for a few seconds faster than any bass I caught today. 3rd trout I've caught this year out of TR, and never had caught one here until this spring. Fishing was slow in the AM, water was dead flat calm, but the wind picked up about 10 AM and the fishing picked up with it. Caught 25 bass, 6 - 8 keepers, but no wall hangers. Caught 8-9 smallies which is unusual for me on this end of the lake. 2 of the smallies were keepers. Ned was the deal, I tried to catch them on other stuff, but only caught one bass on a jig. Most of the fish were very shallow, the wind had them biting right off the edge of the buck brush. Went to a 1/8 oz head because of the wind, but that was OK with the fish. Used Dirt, and that glitteri Craw Zinkerz. Surface temps 67-69. Black tailed LM Dark smallie
  3. Good stuff. Funny how those walleye will bite at times, just hard to tell when it will happen.
  4. Windsor has been fishing a little tough the last few years from what I have seen and what I've heard talking to other bass fishers. But some good quality. This is a good time of year to throw a Carolina rig on that lake with an 8" Zoom lizard or a Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw. Fish the flatter banks out in 6 - 10 FOW.
  5. Great pics, good to see ya'll had a good trip! Do any bird hunting with those dogs?
  6. Here's a redear article: http://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2013/jun/09/feisty-sunfish-found-many-arkansas-waters-tl/?f=trilakes
  7. Looks very nice. What species are you fishing for?
  8. I can only catch them early in the spring, my best tactic for redear, and it should be noted that it does not work all the time for me, is to fish in the coves, 6-10 feet of water, seems they like muddy bottoms, and fish a redworm behind a split shot. No bobber, fish it on the bottom, and move it around slowly. Hook the redworm one time through the middle - don't wad it up on the hook. I don't claim to be a redear expert, but every once in a while I can stumble across them.
  9. Sweet! I like to hear that they are starting to get out there and bust shad.
  10. The lakes do provide some great pan fishing. Nice bluegill and redear!
  11. Great pics and much clearer water than the Big M area.
  12. Thanks, yep he is always near the top or at the top whenever there's a tourney on Beaver.
  13. I see a few OA guys in the results. http://www.flwfishing.com/results
  14. It wasn't me, I don't have a kayak. Does anyone know what the winning weight was?
  15. Senko or fluke - saw some guys Friday working weightless flukes back in a pocket, they hooked a few. Haven't tried it myself.
  16. Maybe use the Ned as the 'weight' in a drop shot setup. Drop it into a school of angry spots and I could see doubles possibilities.
  17. The high skies do make it a bit tougher, but it sure is good to be out there on a nice day.
  18. Send Dtrs a PM, he'll set you up. I like 6# myself for fishing the Ned. And welcome to the site!
  19. Live coverage has started, looks like Martens is bed fishing. http://www.bassmaster.com/video/bassmaster-live-sacramento-river-presented-lowrance
  20. Last time out I picked up a couple vertical fishing the Ned. Seems to get me a few every time out. Usually the boat is sitting in 20-30 FOW and I'll see the sonar showing a fish or two near the bottom. I'll drop the Ned, let it hit bottom, and gently shake it. Sometimes it takes them a minute or so to come over and get it, but it works. I'm interested to see how this will do once the fish get out deep in the summer, might be a good thing to have along side the drop-shot.
  21. I get more than 3 trips out of mine. But I don't fish the Ned for 16 hrs a day for multiple days in a row like some do.
