  1. I'd be surprised if they guy springs for the dough to contest this.
  2. Don't give anyone ideas. 😄 Tungsten worm weights would be a lot less expensive, but maybe easier to detect.
  3. Proposed change is in the survey. Qualtrics Survey | 2024 AGFC Regulations Input
  4. There are some proposals effecting tailwater trout fishing in Arkansas. You might want to take this survey and express your concern/opinion. Qualtrics Survey | 2024 AGFC Regulations Input
  5. Here's one for you to read. I'm tempted to buy a copy, but a little concerned it may be a little on the dry and academic side. Bison Hunting at Cooper Site - University of Oklahoma Press (oupress.com)
  6. That would be neat, have Marty show us some points, explain the history behind them and show us some knapping.
  7. That would be cool if you could bring that Scottsbluff point.
  8. Low 20's tomorrow with a north wind. Sounds like fun.
  9. That's why mammoths have long tusks, they used them to spear salmon.
  10. 17 and a half pounds. It has to be a stocked brood fish, I don't know that trout can survive the summer in Antietam creek. But it is a good looking fish. Fat Rainbow Trout Shatters Maryland State Record | Outdoor Life
  11. 2.8 is my spring mainstay. Catches walleye, crappie and of course all the bass species. I would definitely be interested in a 2.8.
  12. The Weekly Vista had an article about Horvath in this week's paper. They talked to him via cell phone and he was in the Mark Twain Nat. Forest, heading to Eagle Rock. I'm sure to cross the lake on the 86 bridge. And he's taking TJM's advice and plans to take the ferry at Dorena-Hickman then cross through Kentucky. He averages about 20 miles per day. He said he was going to swing down from MO into Northern Arkansas. Plans to be back to Utah by October. I'd post a link to the Vista but you'll get ad-blocked. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to mail you my copy.
  13. It will be interesting to see how Milliken does in the Elites.
  14. 10 years or so their were some Korean researchers hard at work trying to clone them. Not enough complete DNA to work with.
  15. Yes, it is interesting stuff to me. A different world those people lived in.
  16. Heard that experience went for $17K.
  17. I think Milliken gets $2K a day for a guide fee. Phoenix BFL is this Saturday, It might have live coverage on the MLF website. I may watch for a bit if they do, but I probably won't last long if it is all FFS. Today at Big M there were 5 rigs in the lot, 4 of them had Phoenix trailers, don't know if that was coincidence or not.
  18. Made out of hare bone. Archaeologists Find Record-Breaking Artifact at US Butchered-Mammoth Site (msn.com)
  19. Yep, proud of it too. 😃
  20. Reasonable is no fun.
  21. I go back and forth about buying FFS, but I have decided, at least for now, that I have fun fishing the way I fish, I like a little mystery to my fishing. Never have liked to sight fish for bedding fish either. The pros are sure fishing with it, and if I was a diehard tourney fisherman I would be too. I've watched the pros use it for fishing jerks in relatively shallow water. I remember watching Lee Livesay win on Fork at least in part throwing jerks and watching them come after it. Toledo Bend for the Elites the week of the 22nd, and the Classic in March on Grand. I'm really interested to see how it works on Grand. Maybe with all that deep water fishing going on, they'll drive them back to the banks. 😃
  22. They have a new color, "Game Changer" sort of a translucent light green with gold and black flecks. I have fished it a caught a few spots. I think it will work well for smallies in clear water, have to get out and do some more research.
  23. HA! You got hosed! Actually they are a green/dark green laminate, don't know why they call them dirt. Well they should be a laminate, I have noticed Zinkerz quality control isn't the greatest.
  24. Looking at Wednesday myself, supposed to be a nice day.
