  1. Couple of nice ones, congrats!
  2. I have used Nutech jigs, they are less snaggy than the conventional jig heads. And when they do get hung up you can usually pull them out if you get on the other side of it.
  3. Watched AGFC's Talking Outdoors today, they had a good segment on raising stripers from the capture of brood stock all the way to releasing the fingerlings. They will re-run it next week at 0630, Saturday, on KFTA. You can also find it here, I believe: http://www.agfc.com/resources/Pages/ResourcesVideos.aspx
  4. Thanks for the warning. I'm still sticking with Seaguar InvizX and AbrazX..
  5. I haven't fished that area in a month, but your plan sounds good, bluff ends and points. Drop shot, c-rig, and FB jigs. I would not be afraid to throw a shaky head either on some of the bluffs, steep banks with trees, and chunk rock banks. Pete Wenners goes over some good colors and sizes in his latest report, here's the link: http://www.hookedonbass.com/
  6. Yep, Infante has been a bit of a bust this year at the plate. So has Rios, and Zobrist plays OF also.
  7. Looks like some great seats. I like it when you can watch the pitches from behind home plate.
  8. The WR Border permit does not cover the area between the Beaver dam and Houseman, you'll need a non-res AR license and AR trout stamp for trout retention in that stretch of water. A White River Border Lakes License (WRL) is available for a $10 annual fee. This license allows holders of a valid resident license from either state to fish all waters of Bull Shoals, Norfork and Table Rock lakes without a fishing license from the other state. The permit is valid for impounded waters (the waters between Beaver Lake Dam and Houseman Access in Arkansas are excluded). Trout may not be taken with this license. Anglers younger than 16 do not need to buy this license to fish in Missouri waters. Anglers are required to abide by the fishing regulations of the state where they are fishing. The only differences in regulations are: On Table Rock Lake, spotted bass must be at least 12 inches long to keep (Arkansas) or at least 15 inches long to keep (Missouri).
  9. I wish he would not mention the secret color on a public forum. Now everyone will be throwing it.
  10. No K's is kind of strange, but you all had a good day in spite of it.
  11. Excellent report, it's a lot of fun catching those spots on the DS.
  12. They may have found their top of the rotation starter for this year at least. They gave up Brandon Finnegan, who has a lot of potential, but I think that when you have a team that has a shot at the World Series, you have to fill that immediate need.
  13. A healthy one for sure!
  14. Thanks for posting that video. Yeah Lucky Craft pricing is a head scratcher, usually their baits are on the high end of the price range, but these swim baits are not.
  15. Nice one!
  16. Here's mine - I don't know the brand, because it all about the look. As in looks over functionality.
  17. Fished it this morning with a friend. We caught around 25, biggest was 2.5 lbs. About half were 10-12" dinks. Mostly on Carolina rigs with plastic craws. A few on the drop shot also. There's about a 1/2 dozen boats that sit out in the main lake looking for a top water bite, talked to one of them back at the ramp and he said there wasn't much of a bite this morning. We did see some fish chasing shad up on the bank, but not a lot.
  18. Yep, a good day for this time of year.
  19. New hard swim bait that just came out, and for $20 it's reasonable in the swim bait world. Just curious as to what the swim bait guys think about it. It says it is "slow floating" - does it sink when retrieved, then float up on the pause? http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lucky_Craft_Real_Ayu_178/descpage-LCRLAYU.html
  20. They do a lot of graphing on the TVA lakes it seems. Those fish seem to gravitate to the off shore ledges post spawn and school up. I believe those lakes have quite a bit of current compared to what we have in our COE lakes. It is interesting that lately with some current being generated on TR, that guys are finding some good fishing off shore throwing deep cranks. It wouldn't hurt to be able to locate those fish on the depth finder.
  21. I'm in the depth finders as a tool camp. When I'm fishing the shallows, or the local BV lakes that I know like the back of my hand, I don't even turn them on. I'm also a little suspicious that the constant tick-tick-tick noise the sonar makes, may alert the fish that you are in the area. Or maybe not, I'm still on the fence on that one. But, if I'm fishing the drop shot, or winter fishing in the depths, or fishing the depths at any time, I use it a lot.
  22. Sounds like some tough fishing, I've heard that from some other folks also. Seems they are grouped up, if you can find them, it's pretty good, if not, it's tough.
  23. I wonder if the TW description is off? Looking at the video the Bad Shad looks much larger than the 2" and 2.5" in the description. Looks like Berkley has decided to target the bass fishing market with a lineup of new crank baits.
  24. Good one!
