Yeah Fisher certainly needs some more seasoning. And I agree Smith is under pressure, but he still hangs on to the ball to long, he's got to learn how to make quick reads and get rid of the ball. I can remember watching Marino, the guy would drop back and throw, this was when he was wearing a knee brace, three step drop and throw, he's never get sacked as there just wasn't time for the D linemen to get to him. And from the stats I've seen, Smith could not throw the deep ball in SF either, that's one of the reasons they got rid of him. Crabtree blossomed when Kapernick became the QB. What I like about Smith is that he doesn't throw dumb passes, he's aware of his limitations and does a good job of not throwing INT's. At least for now.

Another problem I see with the Eagles approach is QB survivability, Vick has been knocked pretty hard already. They might need Manziel AND Vick to make it through a season.

Saw a ticker blurb last night, Royals have the best record in the AL since the all star break. Baseball scheduling is weird this year, for example the Red Sox played Colorado last night. IMO teams should be playing division foes now.

If there's any silver lining as far as Chiefs vs Denver, it is that the Chiefs don't play them until 11/17. Maybe by then they'll be a little more used to Reids offence and they'll be playing like a well oiled machine. (Yeah right). KC's defence has played well so far, hopefully they can keep the Bronks from scoring too many points, if the Chiefs are in catch up mode that will be a problem, Smith is just not a good enough QB to engage in a shoot out with the Bronks.

Used to fish for steelhead in Washington State, but I never fly fished for them. Steelheader.net is a forum you could check out, there's a separate forum topic for fly fishing, not much activity anymore on that site, but there's a lot of archived stuff. I know that the fly guys always talked about egg patterns for steelhead.

Started at daylight, picked up a few near some docks that were on a secondary point. After that just picked up 3 random bass. Caught 6 total, with only one keeper. A few on a Megabug, and one each on an Ol Monster, jig, and Trick worm. Talked to another fisherman that has fished the White channel quite a bit and he had only picked up a handful himself. Water temp 77-78.

I've got a Shimano Crucial 7' 11" deep cranker. It also casts long and makes working the deep crank not something that kills you. Can't say if it's better or worse than the other rods mentioned as I haven't fished them.

My cousin was the mascot while he was there and they were still the Indians. That was 25 or so years ago that he went to school there. Needless to say he is a HUGE Arkansas State fan.

There is also the economic argument, if gamefish numbers are reduced significantly because of poaching (whatever the method), you could see fewer canoe rentals, lodging stays, tackle sales, etc.
