  1. Gotmuddy, were you wade fishing or from a boat? Always wanted to go down there and try it, but don't want to haul my boat down or rent one for that matter.
  2. Saw another mock draft yesterday that had the Chefs picking up Luke Joeckel, he's considered to be a franchise type left tackle, premier left tackles are hard to come by, I would not mind seeing him playing for the Chefs. I'm thinking Andy Reid will also be able to fully utilize Jamaal Charles, he had McCoy in Philly and Reid had McCoy running the ball and catching passes. I could not understand why this year the Chefs coaches did not throw the ball oftern to Charles, in his rookie year Charles caught quite a few passes and turned some of them into big gains. Charles is a weapon on offence and should be in there on all three downs.
  3. If Reid comes to KC, I would think that would rule out bringing in Vick, not that is was likely, but if Reid benched Vick in Philly, I can't see him lobbying to bring him to KC.
  4. Yeah I'd at least like to hear what the best bait was, even if it's a general catagory, such as jerkbaits or cranks..
  5. What they winners were throwing in the Polar Bear seems to be top secret info. But people are snooping around as you read this. We will have an answer, lol. If I ran one of the tackle shops that sells to Beaver fishermen, I'd sure want to know, and I'd have the lure or lures in question prominently displayed, bet you could sell a bunch.
  6. LOL, yes it's that bad in KC, when Tebow is seen as a potential "upgrade" at the QB position, you know things have hit rock bottom.
  7. Thanks for the info Champ, 21 lbs., pretty good bag.
  8. I think if you're going with the run and gun QB model, I'd take Vick over Tebow. Big question is what kind of $$$ Vick will be looking for. I could see Tebow as a backup, and use him as a Wildcat option. I don't know if these guys could help KC win any more games, but maybe next year they can get a franchise QB. Thye could also see who is around in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, maybe get lucky with a late pick QB. Let Vick or whoever start, ease the new QB in. Whatever happens, they have to get a plan in place to get a franchise type QB, you have to have that QB in today's NFL. I'd look at Matt Flynn also, currently on Seattle's bench behind Wilson.
  9. Yeah they may not try for the QB, maybe pickup some cast off like Vick, Sanchez, Hasselbeck and beef up the OL or defence. Griefs fell behind early a lot this year which took out their running game, get a good defence going and cut down on the turnovers and they could be competitive. Probably would stink for another year, but then a good QB may come up next year.
  10. Sorry to hear the Champ & Donna team did not win it all, I was expecting to pick up tomorrow's paper and see a half page photo with both of you hoisting the trophy (or whatever it is you get for winning that tournament) Weather was nasty today, I did not even think of fishing.
  11. Or a job at Basspro.
  12. I think Len Dawson was about the last decent QB they've had. They have to get a good QB, NFL has become such a QB league, you can't win without a good one.
  13. Happy New Years! May the fish be with you!
  14. I haven't been out on TR since the 22nd. Went out on a couple of the smaller Bella Vista lakes last Thursday and we picked up a few on jerkbaits, but had to work for them.
  15. Just got an email from Basstackledepot.com, 25% off through tomorrow.
  16. But they're a year too late, they need to get a QB, I can't see them going the Brady Quinn route next year. I was looking at a mock draft which had them taking the WV QB, Geno Smith.
  17. Always have had a great experience with them, it's usually where I get my stuff. Always looking forward to the sales. Another good online retailer is BassTackleDepot.com. They don't have as wide a selection as TW, but they have better discounts at the sales. This year they had a 25% off sale on Black Friday. Great service also.
  18. And follow RPS for the scoop on the wallies. For bass, Bill Babler's reports are the best. Lake Leatherwood is close by you Kjackson, haven't fished it myself, but rumor has it that it has a fair crappie population and decent numbers of bass.
  19. With temps like that are in the forecast it will be a true Polar Bear. Good luck and stay warm!
  20. Welcome Keith, lived on the wetside for close to 20 years, and fished the Sound quite a bit. LIke RPS, I'm happy to share info.
  21. BTW, if anyone can get the results and post them here that would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully at least winning bag weight and biggest fish.
  22. Lake side lots are very expensive, so a lot of people opt for the smaller house to keep the mortgage payments down. Nice thing about those houses is they come pre-built and you can move in minutes after it's dropped off. They also come and clean them for you at least once a week.
  23. Yep, I have to log in every time I come in to the site.
  24. And, for the record, Blogs - schmogs, I don't follow them.
  25. I appreciate reports even on unamed bodies of water and pictures are fine, they add credibility to the "I caught a bunch of big ones" reports. I always find it interesting to hear if they're biting and what techniques are working, I don't really need to hear exactly where, and about 95% of the time the locations are places I'll probably never fish anyway. Keep the reports coming and include pictures if you want.
