    Yeah the Elites were raving about BS last year, and I've heard that people say you can really get away from the crowds.

    I modified a couple yesterday, used a #3 split ring, haven't fished them yet, but giving them a shake test and the split ring/treb were swinging freely. Modified a 3/8 and a 5/8. Hard to find the 5/8 for sale on the tackle sites, did find one site that had them, Mondotackle.com, but they only had them in black. But they are available on Ebay in the light colors.

    Fished Lake Ft Smith about 4 years ago when my brother in law and nephew were in town. Dragged around some crawlers and caught a bunch of small spotted bass. I've seen a few reports where people are saying that it has a lot of small 12" bass. One of these days I'm going to haul the boat down there and give it a shot.

    Two deaths (sadly) a woman that died in the barge welding explosion and a young man drowned while swimming.

    I'm going to spend some more deep water time this year and I did do quite a bit of c-rigging and jigging last summer in the 20-25 foot depths. Haven't done much deep cranking however, but I'm planning on doing quite a bit this year. Did quite a bit of salmon trolling when I lived in the Pac NW, trolling with downriggers, 120-140 feet deep. Had some great days, I miss it.

    I refuse to troll for black bass, not that there's anything wrong with it, but not my idea of fun, at least when it comes to bass fishing.

    Not in the smaller lakes in NW AR, geese are at the top of the list.

    Yep I believe you on the offshore bass, seen quite a few pro tourneys won by guys fishing cranks off shore.

    30" is a brute! I punched that into a fish weight calculator and got 11 lbs. and that's assuming normal girth. I wonder if the AGFC has ever considered stocking triploids?

    I always see question where people are asking if trout are still being stocked in Bull. From the AGFC District 2 newsletter they apparently are stocking them this spring. Stocking: So far in 2013 our fish hatcheries have stocked 175,238 rainbow trout. We will begin stocking lake fish later in the spring. If the Bull Shoals reservoir trout have not been stocked in March, they will be stocked the first week of April. The lake should receive about 30,000 rainbows from net pens operated at 3 marinas or resorts.

    War Eagle makes a great jig also, I like their color "Pond Scum Perch".

    Maybe we should send Al Gore to China? But seriously, I believe I saw that China has passed us as far as being the number 1 pumper of CO2 into the atmosphere.
