  1. Or a job at Basspro.
  2. I think Len Dawson was about the last decent QB they've had. They have to get a good QB, NFL has become such a QB league, you can't win without a good one.
  3. Happy New Years! May the fish be with you!
  4. I haven't been out on TR since the 22nd. Went out on a couple of the smaller Bella Vista lakes last Thursday and we picked up a few on jerkbaits, but had to work for them.
  5. Just got an email from Basstackledepot.com, 25% off through tomorrow.
  6. But they're a year too late, they need to get a QB, I can't see them going the Brady Quinn route next year. I was looking at a mock draft which had them taking the WV QB, Geno Smith.
  7. Always have had a great experience with them, it's usually where I get my stuff. Always looking forward to the sales. Another good online retailer is BassTackleDepot.com. They don't have as wide a selection as TW, but they have better discounts at the sales. This year they had a 25% off sale on Black Friday. Great service also.
  8. And follow RPS for the scoop on the wallies. For bass, Bill Babler's reports are the best. Lake Leatherwood is close by you Kjackson, haven't fished it myself, but rumor has it that it has a fair crappie population and decent numbers of bass.
  9. With temps like that are in the forecast it will be a true Polar Bear. Good luck and stay warm!
  10. Welcome Keith, lived on the wetside for close to 20 years, and fished the Sound quite a bit. LIke RPS, I'm happy to share info.
  11. BTW, if anyone can get the results and post them here that would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully at least winning bag weight and biggest fish.
  12. Lake side lots are very expensive, so a lot of people opt for the smaller house to keep the mortgage payments down. Nice thing about those houses is they come pre-built and you can move in minutes after it's dropped off. They also come and clean them for you at least once a week.
  13. Yep, I have to log in every time I come in to the site.
  14. And, for the record, Blogs - schmogs, I don't follow them.
  15. I appreciate reports even on unamed bodies of water and pictures are fine, they add credibility to the "I caught a bunch of big ones" reports. I always find it interesting to hear if they're biting and what techniques are working, I don't really need to hear exactly where, and about 95% of the time the locations are places I'll probably never fish anyway. Keep the reports coming and include pictures if you want.
  16. Shhhhh, be quiet about those Keitechs! Well if no A-rigs allowed, then I'll say jerkbaits and a 14.75 lb. bag.
  17. I would guess around 15 also, but I'll say 14.75. Jerkbait could be the deal or the A-rig.
  18. Welcome Ryker! Spent close to 20 years living in WA state, I miss my winter steelhead fishing, but not the rain.
  19. Thanks for the report, you can substitute that catfish for a lump of coal in somebodies stocking who has been bad this year. Curious as to what your drop shot bait was, if you don't wanna tell because it's a secret that's OK, but I'm curious as the DS has not been working for me lately.
  20. Yes sorry to hear about your mother. Thanks for the warning about the dirtbag, probably a good idea to report it to local LE. I've been thinking about fishing Stockton next year and these break-ins worry me. The perp will probably continue to prowl the ramps until he's caught. Were you able to tell what model truck he had?
  21. Nice stuff you made there Eric.

    Mizzou Bball

Watched the last 10 minutes of the Illini game, big win for Mizzou. They did a good job on the defensive boards, not giving the Illini a 2nd chance on missed shots.
  23. Here's a thread from another board - looks like a labor intensive project: http://www.bbcboards.net/bassboat-restoration/317778-need-info-oxidizing-gel-coat.html
  24. Got there at 1000, pulled out at 1400. Fishing was not good for me, 3 black bass total, tube and jerkbait. About the first hour after I launched it was cold and dead calm, wind picked up and almost instantly started blowing pretty hard, windy conditions just don't fit my fishing style, so I left a bit earlier than I normally would have. Happy holidays all, and I hope you all have time to get out and do some fishing!
  25. Nope, she's tired of his crap and takes pre-emptive action.
