  1. Look at the boat motors now days. Another mess of wire and electronics. My old Evinrude 9.5 has copper wire that could be measured in inches in 2 digits. And it still runs after 60 years. I did have to replace the kill switch, the rubber gave out.
  2. Everytime I think about a new rig, I think about the miles of wire they have added since the one I currently have. Sensors to go out for everything. Electronics are the problems with all new cars. If we could go back and make one without all of the wires, imagine how long they would last.
  3. Bring the beer and the wire schematic.
  4. Find the wires and cut out the sensors, wire them together. Its just DC circuits.
  5. That should have made nice filets. Was it tough?
  6. Fine folks all around so far. I have met several and enjoyed the times spent with them. I just wish I had more time to meet more.
  7. Limb chippers make it easier...
  8. The government mandated them, so they must be good for you...
  9. The inflator on the defective ones tends to go off like a frag grenade spewing shrapnel into the passenger. That is why they recall it.
  10. My Yota just got another recall on the passenger side airbag. Seems like the first jap airbag they replaced was defective also. Going to try again. At least the driver side is safe, who whats to go on a road trip??
  11. All it takes is a little fire and some battery acid to make a meth lab
  12. Dam, lost a toe?? Good thing that LOZ water makes you grow extras.
  13. Why don't you post that over on the Bennett Spring forum. We are talking airbags here.....
  14. Someone needs to invent a small jackplate for those big pucks. The one on the Nitro kicks up a huge wake all over the side of the motor.
  15. I like the Garmins, but the puck is huge, almost like a little kayak hanging off the back of the boat. Screens are nice and they have a sharp echo.
  16. Hi Cap Rifles Trump Pistols any day. Pistols are for sneaking around or backup when you run out of all the rifle ammo you are carrying. Firepower is power.
  17. So, when they go off, do they eject the rider into the air so they land safely in the grass?
  18. Away from the computer for a day and Wrench whips his pickle out. Why haven't the blame all my problems on someone elser's put airbags on a motorcycle yet?
  19. Sweet. U da man.
  20. Nice photoshop there. I had a hard time backing my Crappie Pro up when I was there. I would have hated to be the guy dragging that one. Did a helicopter drop that in for you? As far as the other stuff. I am happy with him as a mechanic and a person. Forgot one, was that a 4 stroker Merc on the Scarab???
  21. Speckled Gar....
  22. McCormack has run way down over the years. Good place for a stick up (robbery type, needle type). Back in the 80's and 90's it was a nice place. Then the NFS decided that fishing lakes were just a place for people to go and have fun. They would have no more of that. The dams were built before engineers had to adhere to liabilities that occur when they fail. The disaster at Taum Sauk and the payouts for that made them realize all of those dams are due to failure with age. Better just to cover them up and let them disappear. Crane Pond Lake, Little Scotia Lake, Reynolds County Lake, The Huzzah Fish Pond Lakes by Salem have all went down hill. They used to have good fishing, but floods and hoods have made them pretty rough. Council Bluff is still decent, but the Enough primitive campground was closed many years ago.
  23. There are several, but most are forgotten and neglected. Roads to them blocked, banks grown up.
  24. They were hardcore schooled in the Old Testament. Sacrifices, floods, famines, loss of first born child, turned into pillars of salt, and having to abide by 10 easy commandments. Jesus brought an alternative, a simpler form of redemption by only accepting him.
