I normally use a 1/2 oz. football jig on 10 lb. test maxima best fish was 7 lbs. I do better with 1/2 oz. than 3/4, but do use 3/4 oz. when wind dictates .Hope this helps

Good reading, deep cranking has never been good to me,on the rock,to many lures to pick from but might give some of those a try.Thanks
