I love his stuff, but I just don't get around to reading it anymore. Haven't taken the Star for years, and the online subscription is stupid expensive last I checked. The app doesn't even have a link to outdoors. I liked it better in the good old days.

I tangled a lot with Chief back in the bad-old-days. Then we me face-to-face and we talked it through. I highly recommend it. He's a good guy, maybe just a little prickly. I haven't met Mitch face-to-face but I've had plenty of back-channel convos and I think I get him. I respect him. And I like him too. Maybe just a little prickly. I'm with you -- especially on road trips. Avoid the chains, finding the local gems is part of the enjoyment. I love a good road trip.

I'm a Spaghetti O's man myself. Can't do the Vienna Sausages. Tried them for the first time a couple years ago. Couldn't get the oil slick off the roof of my mouth.
