  1. Ok. I like the yak too, but this is close to crossing the line into infatuation. And anybody who has seen Deliverance knows where that kinda thing can go. Keep those emotions in check Mr. Smalliebigs.
  2. Nice! Now just kick back and wait for the endorsement deals to come rollin' in
  3. Crazy bills get introduced all the time. The legislature doesn't end up voting on every one of them, and a lot of them never even get considered. It's just a gut feeling on my part, but I'd bet these bills never even make it to a vote -- especially the constitutional amendments. These type of bills feel like politicians trying to get a little face time, catering to certain constituents and giving them something to hoot about the next time they're running for office..
  4. You get a gold star!
  5. By law, you're entitled to a free credit report from each of the big three vendors once a year. Google free credit report and look for the government sources. All the companies offering free credit reports are doing it to get their hooks in you for something else. If you've got a Discover card you can get your credit score anytime on their website.
  6. Not having a credit history is an issue, but if you had credit in the past, paid as agreed and paid things off it shouldn't hurt you. That guy is screwing you on the interest rate and the closing costs. You can probably count on him to screw you in other ways too. Walk.
  7. Line to leader: nail knotted Surgeon's loop to loop Leader to tippet: Surgeon's Tippet to fly: improved clinch Dropper: on the hook bend with improved clinch
  8. REALTOR® stretching the truth -- making a home sound better that it is? Shocking!!!

    Dez's Catch

Yeas -- that's the way I saw it too.
  10. Oh, and that would include not trying to fit folks into 'that segment of the population' Champ
  11. Nobody likes inconsiderate jerks. But there seems to be a little bit of pettiness in these discussions. That's why you bass guys find yourself on the defensive. It started with bashing wannabes with jerseys and wrapped boats being goobers, etc. now it's evolved and is all about behavior. Can't have it both ways fellers. My advice: get out and fish, enjoy yourself, don't let the jerks ruin your day, don't spend any time figuring out other folks, be nice to others, especially the jerks. You'll come out ahead in the end.
  12. Be careful with all-encompassing statements and generalizations. You know, think!
  13. I've had a pair of Smith (Action) Optics prescription sunglasses with a Padre frame for more than 10 years. Not bifocal, and not sure if their bifocals are no line, but they are excellent. Padre frame has wide sides that help keep the sun out. Excellent customer service -- they've replaced the frame twice.
  14. Hilarious,!!!
  15. That certainly simplifies things.
  16. I say judging a person based on their clothes or the stickers on their boat puts one in the same category as the high school nasty-girls clique. There. I said it.

    They got you!

    What The Heck?

RPS -- you nailed it on dissecting the recipe. That's always something I get a chuckle out of -- that one's especially bad. Fish on a shingle, mashed taters and carrots.

    What The Heck?

OK -- that's a new one. They're (whoever 'they' are) always figuring out new ways to get advertising in front of us. This one is particularly lame. Of course, if it helps keep this forum online I s'pose I can ignore it.
  21. I wouldn't write it off for trout, but I also wouldn't go into it with the mindset that I'm not going anywhere else. Plenty of times I hit more than one stream on a trip. Mill, Little Piney, Spring Creek are all a pretty short drive from there.
  22. Yeah, a bummed up leg can sure change things. I've been pretty lucky so far -- a little bit of knee trouble that doesn't slow me down too awful much. Lots of ways to enjoy the outdoors that don't require a lot of walking, etc. There's a ton of guys on here big, sparkly bass boats and more room, tackle, time and money than they know what to do with. Some of them spend as much as $5,000 on a bass boat, $50+ on a rod/reel combo and over $5 on a lure! A single lure! Play your cards right and you'll be ridin' with one of the big dogs
  23. I've got relatives back east -- I've heard them say it too.
  24. Nice fishes! I gotta be sitting down and have my hands free when I smoke a cigar. You're a stud.
