Koda 16. Propane powered and the larger deck. He likes the control and ease of use of propane and I think I’d agree. There may be some flavor from wood, but at 90 seconds it probably won’t be much.

Future son in law got himself an Ooni and he and my baby girl have been working on Neapolitan pizza lately. Headed over today to try things out and I gotta say the results were excellent. Homemade dough and sauce, fresh mozz and basil. About 950 degrees on the deck and 90 seconds to cook. Great leaoparding on the crusts and great texture. A slight crispiness and char on the outside, soft and chewy. Just excellent.

They're a little noisy, and will scatter the other birds sometimes when they come blasting into the feeders. But I don't mind them. They do help keep the group feeders happy.

Not even sure why UPS would have handed this one off. There are UPS deliveries up and down this street every day. This one's not a big deal for me, more funny/crazy than irritating. On the other side: I sent my sister some BBQ for Christmas last month. I'm careful about tracking food deliveries because I've had it thaw sitting on the front porch before. I had warned my sister about the delivery, but FedEx delivered it a day EARLY. Fortunately she noticed it sitting out there. Lesson learned -- check daily.

Watched a couple episodes of 'Live from Daryl's House' on Youtube over the weekend. It's hosted by Daryl Hall of Hall and Oates. He has folks over and they do the guest's music, or whatever. There are dozens of episodes, and lotsa different types of music represented. I watched episodes with Joe Walsh and Tommy Shaw. Good stuff.

Nope, haven’t gone down that path. These were steamed and served with plain old melted butter. Delicious, quick and simple.

We bought the small ones man. I think they were 4oz each. The 4 of those cost less than a meal at a fast casual restaurant would cost. Back when we did that kinda thing 😄

A few recent ones. Smaller lobster tails, some store-bough crab cakes and parsley potatoes: Some Hurter’s 15 Bean Soup made with ham hocks for flavor, then diced ham in the finished soup: French toast from a take-and-bake loaf and bacon with some real maple syrup: Tonight was baked ziti with sweet Italian sausage, provolone, mozzarella, Parmesan. Take-and-bake Italian loaf. Vodka mar-tooni on the side The rest of that loaf will end up in some more French toast tomorrow morning. Belch!

What type of fermentation lids did you get? I like the idea of those. I have a 5 L crock I've used for kraut and pickles, but would be interested in something smaller scale. Just a salt water brine, I suppose? I'd be interested to hear more about the process. I looove French onion soup, even without the bread and cheese. But, wifey can't do too much onion so I haven't made it in a long time. I'm a corn guy
