  1. Stumbled onto these today. Pretty good if you're of the right age. Kinda fun to look away and just listen. Love #4 and #2
  2. It's the same phenomenon that caused humans to hoard TP a few months back.

    What's Cooking?

Here there’s chicken and cheese (hers) or beef and sauce (his)
  4. Yeah, nothing good for us this year either. Did a whirlwind trip to IA a couple weeks ago and got skunked the day we fished.

    What's Cooking?

Sure! Everything you’ve been eating, just no more meat. Cancel that Costco membership, you won’t be eating any of that prime beef. Head to the feed store and load up on grains. Us Amish guys can help. The reason they live longer is they refuse to die waiting for something good to eat 😀
  7. Dang! I like those high-capacity feeders.
  8. Didn’t I see some chicken thighs being consumed in Billetheadville recently? 😀
  9. I'm the crock. With the moldy pickles in it
  10. I'm showing a lot of restraint by passing on the easy one here.
  11. We know!
  12. That is hilarious! Some folks just *need* attention and/or affirmation, even lying to get it. Or they could have been working some financial angle....
  13. That's an important step forward in anyone's outdoor pursuits!

And...really a good crop of banana peppers this year. Nice size, thick walls. Did sauerkraut stuffed banana peppers. Love these! A little sweet and some heat.

    What's Cooking?

Double bummer on pickles. The ones above developed some black mold. No go. So, I started another batch in my 5 liter crock. You're sposta skim any white scum off the top and I did it diligently, but these were throwing off a lot more than the other time I did them, so I was getting a little worried. It would be completely covered with white stuff each day, and it was breaking up and sinking into the brine when I tried to skim. It smelled ok, but not great. So, I fished a pickle out and it was pretty mushy. Not going to eat them if there's any question, so they went down the garbage disposal like the previous batch. Dang it!! Undeterred, sorta, I cleaned the crock and stones really well, including some bleach in there, and started some sauerkraut. Two heads of cabbage, green leaves removed, shredded, and 3 tablespoons of pickling salt into the crock. Topped with a little bottled water to cover.
  16. Will have to look for that next time. Here’s one we like a lot from Costco too:
  17. Name, please?
  18. I wish it was that easy! We’re talking evacuation here. Might be more tolerable with masks this year
  19. My aim is true! Without getting into details, I’ll just say that after last Christmas Eve I’ll be renting a porta-potty for him to use here!
  20. My brother is like that. Has a big, nice RV. Invites us to the American Royal BBQ each year, gets us in for free, feeds us, provides beer and wine, cigar, everything. But if I want to tinkle, I've got to use the porta-potty he rented. Geez!
  21. Can I share my best find? Trego County, KS 2004:
  22. Do what I do now -- stay in a motel
  23. Check your sentence construction, mister. Mrs. McElwee (Three Trails Elementary) would be all over that!
