At any of these, LOWES or MENARDS or HARDWARE STORE in the electrical section find the " SMALLEST WIRE TIE " they carry & you are done. Quick & easy & not bothered by any " LURE JUICE " !!!!!!! Also if you feel the fish care they are available in various colors, black & / or white being the most common.

SUFFIX 832 BRAID ( & / OR ) DAIWA J BRAID 8. With a fluor. leader ( OR MAYBE NOT ) depending on the lure.

I can make a whole bunch of trips to CANADA, TEXAS, & TENNESSE for that kind of money & catch just as many fish out of my boat as you will out of that RANGER. If I had that kind of money to throw around I would go out & buy a new pick up & new boat motor trailer & still get back change.

Good luck trying to figure out what or why they do what they do. This has gone on the exact same way for the last 15 years & they could care less. They are covered in teflon & have the perfect escape & answer each & every time. It's our congress that causes it, " YEAH BS " !!!!!!! Several years ago after one of the floods one of our elected officials Claire Mc Kaskill ( MAY HAVE THE SPELLING WRONG ) claimed she was going to launch an investigation into why this continued to happen & why so many peoples lives have continued to be devastated by these events time & time again, someone was going to have to accept responsibility for this. Well guy's nothing has changed & it won't as long as we accept their " BS EXCUSES " !!!!!!! I wish I had a job where I could say, " SORRY NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY, IT'S THEIR FAULT, & BY THE WAY NOTHING I CAN DO " & walk away.

Now I understand. Government controlled = " NO COMMON SENSE & NO LOGICAL THINKING " = another " FUBAR " !!!!!!!

A lot of good suggestions, always start with the most likely & obvious 1ST. Wheel & tire out of balance, bent wheel, belt in tire shifting, etc. One thing I did not see mentioned & a lot of folks don't know is that drive shafts are also balanced, ( VERY IMPORTANT ON ANY 4 X 4 ) if they throw a weight & become unbalanced you will get a vibration. Crawl under your truck & look for a " CLEAN SPOT" ( THIS IS WHAT NORMALLY APPEARS AS THE WEIGHTS ARE INSTALLED WHEN THE DRIVE SHAFT IS NEW & CLEAN NOT AFTER THEY ARE RUSTED & DIRTY ) along the drive shaft. Find one & you may well have found your problem & it's off to the drive shaft shop we go.

If you want something a little different that is not fluoro. & not mono. but is very good & not BIG $$$$$$$ try YO-ZURI HYBRID. It is a very good line for most applications, not all, but most. Whatever you do " STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM BERKLEY VANISH " unless you enjoy a product that will put you right in the middle of a " FUBAR " situation.

For years I have said & told anyone that would listen, " USE VANISH & THAT'S WHAT YOUR LURES WILL DO " !!!!!!! By far, the worst line I ever used.

I think you have been provided a great deal of good solid info. in the replies here. Do not overlook the reply re. rod length, the length will be critical & a great deal impacted by your height & how you position yourself during the retrieve. I am 5' 10'' & anything over a 6'6'' rod creates a problem for me with hitting the side of the boat or slapping the rod tip on the water ( AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ABOVE ) or worse yet both happening @ the same time during the retrieve. I can use a 7' rod all day long for crank baits & other techniques but not for jerk baits, spinner baits or top water. I know several folks that use a 5' 6'' short handle rod for those 3 techniques to eliminate these 2 problems. Also, you may find you can be more accurate with a shorter rod as it makes for easier side arm casts when working cover. Enough said. As far as a rod, LEW'S.

I seem to remember ( 10 YEARS AGO OR SO ) 902 FT - MSL. In board cables on our dock were out as far as they could go & I was very concerned about our dock back then if it went any lower, it didn't. Also seem to remember way back in the 70's ( BEFORE WE LIVED HERE ) came down in the spring on a fishing trip & it was around 18 to 22 feet ( 897 to 893 FT -MSL MSL ) below normal pool. Now " THAT WAS LOW " !!!!!!!

Continue to use it & that is what your lures are going to do " VANISH " !!!!!!! IMO lots of better choices out there.

Probably will depend a lot on what the guy in the front gives you. But I will share this with you, have had a gentleman from Kentucky stay with us several times when FLW ( THE HEAVY HITTERS ) fished Table Rock, he fished out of the back of the boat & 1 year came in 6th. place & the next year he won it. Primarily doing the same thing each time, fished a MANNS STING RAY GRUB ( AVCOADO COLOR ) on a ball type jig head when he could up shallow @ visible cover, when he could not fish shallow or if the shallow bite was not there he would make long casts out into the middle of the creek arm, or out into deep water if on the main lake & let the grub settle to the bottom then, give the grub a good lift off the bottom 3ft. to 6ft. let it float back down & repeat. Other times he would fish a jig & trailer up shallow more dragging it on the bottom behind the boat ( KINDA LIKE TROLLING ) this keeps the jig in the strike zone for a greater time than your standard cast & retrieve. Both worked equally well for him, no guarantees but I would sure try both.

I for one am behind & will support anything we can do to " SLOW DOWN & REMOVE " these people from the lake. I would like to suggest for example: present a video & the violators state boat ID # ( SOME DAMAGE WOULD HAVE TO OCCUR FOR THIS PART, BUT I AM ALL FOR THAT ) to a MSWP OFFICER & receive a bounty IE. JET-SKI $50.00, SKI-BOAT $100.00, WAKE-BOAT $150.00 & a gold star. We could put them on our outboard covers for all to see & warn them to stay away, venture closer @ your own peril. Looking for " A FEW GOOD MEN " !!!!!!!

When is the last time anyone saw one of these " JERK-OFFS " actually stopped & written up by one of our fine outstanding MSWP Officers ??????? I have not in years.

I & my wife own & operate a resort & boat-dock on Table Rock & have for the last 14 years. In those 14 years the USACOE has never once shown up @ any time during any of the floods to ask if we needed help in any way. Neighbors yes, & even strangers have helped us. Then again we don't pay their salaries. The USACOE shows up when they feel like it, no appointment, no advance warning, just " HERE WE ARE WE ARE IMPORTANT STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING WE MUST DO AN INSPECTION " !!!!!!! And you best make time for them as if you don't they will send you a threating letter about pulling your boat-dock lease. Oh yeah, they can find the time once a year to mail us an invoice for $600.00 to let our boat-dock float on their lake. So, over 14 years I have paid them $8400.00 just to let my ( IT IS MINE NOT THEIRS ) boat-dock float on their lake. What have I received for my $8400.00 " JACK dung " not even a thank you. Have they helped or assisted us in any way with the thousands of dollars required to repair our boat-dock after the floods or clean up the grounds " OH YEAH SURE THEY HAVE " !!!!!!! Contact your insurance company & file a claim & their response is the USACOE says it was an " ACT OF GOD" & we don't cover an " ACT OF GOD " !!!!!!! Try to find an insurance company that will cover a boat-dock, due to the millions of dollars in damages from the floods there are very few left. Those that will & do have jacked the premium levels to beyond belief. They are happy to tell you how wide a path can be that runs on their property & that bordering that path with decorative rock is a violation that you can & will be fined for. Also, "GOD FORBID " do not place decorative rock around a tree base, unless you would like a 2nd. fine. And OH YEAH cut your grass beyond a specific spot designated by them & they will threaten you with your boat-dock renewal lease. I could continue but why, will they change their MO, I doubt it, they are covered with Teflon & do as they please. A real class organization. Thanks for the lunch offer but I just have this feeling we will not agree on that either.
